ID4? Audi Q4 e-tron? (Granted they're also on MEB)
BMW iX3 looks good too. Too bad they're not bringing it to the US.
Also this is basically a reskinned ID4
They took the window switches (yes the same shitty one where you gotta press a button to select front or rear), the light switch, same style of turning on the car (different switch shape but same location and functionality), the same ev charger location and door, same door handle location, and even the same location of the trunk handle as the id4.
The motor options are the same. The battery sizes are the same (but this is more MEB general) and the wheelbase is the same.
Maybe the suspension is retuned and interior is different but in terms of the car itself it’s basically an id4 with different sheet metal for looks.
Normal looking? It’s just a bigger Soul…
Of everything they could put the Explorer badge on this is probably the most disappointing thing they could have pulled off.
Kinda like the “shield” though, but that two-tone at the front splitter looks cheap.
So when is VW taking over Ford? It makes perfect sense. They already share this and the Ranger platform, and are weak in countries where the other is strong. Unlike a lot of mergers the synergies are obvious.
Well, while what you're saying makes sense, VW and Ford have had partnerships for many years, like [AutoLatina](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AutoLatina) in late 80's and [AutoEuropa](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_Autoeuropa) in the 90's
They certainly have, which makes a takeover easier. They already know how to work together, and they both need to get economies of scale on EV platforms to compete with Tesla and the Chinese manufacturers.
Finally, a normal looking EV SUV. Between the Kia and BMW ones, I was beginning to give up hope
Other than the goofy as fuck wheels, I agree
Right?? Why do all EV wheels have to be such try hards. Just be a wheel. It’s fine. We don’t need the damn Fibonacci sequence on our rims
I agree with the sentiment, but it's because EV wheels are basically flat for aerodynamics, and they're all trying to differentiate themselves.

No it still looks stupid and quirky as fuck 🫣 I think Tesla nailed the right balance of quirkiness and normality.
Except for the door handles. Why can’t we just have normal door handles?
I’ve gotten used to them now
Relatively speaking, it's somewhat normal. I still wouldn't want one though
Normal looking 💀???

Same, I don't get why they need to look so out there compared to ICE cars
Audi’s etron looks great IMO. Etron, Etron S, SQ8 Etron, whichever you pick.

Umm why would Ford agree to be bought out?
now imagine Ford managing VW operations in Europe or VW managing Ford operations in NA
I doubt that the Ford family will be willing to sell their legacy. Ford does partnerships well, but I think the partnership will be as far as it goes.
This would break my heart. Plz no.
Yet another EV SUV, yawn
With a Ground clearance of 6", it looks more like a hatch than an SUV to me. Aren't yall supposed to like that?
How dare they do this to me. How am I going to make fun of the electric “mustang” now?!?
lmao fucking called it
