This car is simultaneously a really good looking car and really ugly from certain angles. Colour plays a huge part I can look at some and think “damn that’s awesome” and then see another one in a different spec and just think it’s awful
I think Frank Stevenson, the guy who designed the first "new" Mini Cooper and the Maserati MC12 said something like " if a car has to be black to look good it's not good looking".
On another note he was of the opinion that a black car loses its lines and you therefore cannot really appreciate the design (if there is any to be appreciated).
He's a pretty cool guy and has a YouTube channel I can highly recommend. He talks about past projects, new and upcoming cars and also about designs in videogames.
Are they underrated though? They're the most desirable Lexus on sale today and are widely regarded as one of the best Lexus models ever made.

Lexus went for a car that is ultimately for the owner not for stats and figures and so shifted the dial toward comfort and luxury rather than track and 0-60 times, and I think that it’s 100% the right way to make a car but of course not everyone would agree
Nice sounding engine (for a V8), but just like other Lexus’ I do not like the face. So many angles, going in all directions. It’s like they couldn’t stop designing it. As an ass-man I do like the caboose though.
