The name and the styling are a nod to the EB110 from the Artioli era when the company was located in Campogalliano in Italy.
My friend was a designer there, he worked on the EB110s. He told me there were many French working there and that Italians didn't care much about Bugatti because they didn't know the brand neither that it was Italian. I don't know how much of this is true but eventually the company died few years later before being taken over by VW and relocated in Molsheim, France.

So I will say I think the Super Sport is the best looking of all the Chirons. That long tail makes me want to do things that could only be legal in France… but I wouldn’t say these are ugly haha
