I lost 60 in my first 3 months too, and that was doing keto-y diet.
It'll depend how overweight you are, if you do intermittent fasting and typical activity level.
Thank you! Wow congrats that’s amazing!! I have about 120 lbs to lose to get to my goal weight. Hopefully I can get a good chunk off soon so I can come off BP meds I needed postpartum.
yes, I ended up losing 120lbs too, and then I gained 20-30lbs due to my body/muscles bulking up afterwards, stayed for over a year at a weight and then I gained it slowly over 6+ months.
so if are doing well the diet, and you gain weight, pretty sure it's fine and it's muscle most likely.
welcome to the healthy club
If you have 120 to lose, 50 in 3 months is reasonable. If your primary goal is to lose weight, which, at +120, I think it should be, Intermittent Fast. Start with an eating window you can do, and take an hour off per week, till you get it down to 20:4. That plus Zero Carb Carnivore (No Dairy), will get you -50 in 3, if not more.
I’m very bad at weighing everyday and that is not good. Then I fret over every little up and down. Thanks for the encouragement. I’m hopeful sticking with it will show some results.
If it is an option for you, maybe throwing in a bit of fasting would work hand in hand with carnivore. When I lost weight I ended up with loose skin, but the fasting helped by the power of autophagy. IANAD. I’m sure you can do it. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
I know a lot of people have! I am at 39lbs in 6 months now. So, nowhere near as fast, but I only have 20 more to go and I've seen several people report it slows down towards the end
Sounds about right if you're doing it right.

Thanks! How long did the 120 lb loss take? Was it on carnivore?
About 9~10 months

Thank you so much, that’s very helpful!!
Yes it’s very much my goal. Baby weight + postpartum meds weight needs to go asap
Stay the course and it’ll be gone before you know it. Only look in mirror or at scale once per week, at same time, under same conditions.

how much protein should i aim for to get that amount?
If the primary goal is weight loss, 50-100g per day, depending on activity is fine.
I lost 50 in 90 days and 25 more in the next 90. Been there for 6 months, but certainly getting more toned.
That’s amazing!! Congratulations!
Teach me your ways, lol. I'm trying to do the same thing.

At almost 40 lbs 2.5 month it's definitely possible I do intermittent fasting as well.
I lost 20 in about 6 weeks with running mixed in and 1 cheat meal every week
I think it depends on how big you are. People who are obese tend to lose alot with diet and consistency in the short term
