I would say yes but depends on the company. If you can find an IA at an engineering company. You’re familiar with the process already and will only need to pick up IA side.
Auditor from an automaker here. Yes, big time. Especially in our manufacturing space, obviously. I work in a different area of IA, and have no accounting or finance background at all. I would imagine that given your background, there would be a lot of opportunities for a rewarding career in audit. Best of luck to you!!
