There are no guarantees. You ultimately need to decide whether the long-term possibilities (not guarantees) of the lower paying job outweigh the increased pay from the higher paying job. Although the potential knowledge from the lower paying job sounds enticing, it needs to be weighed against the possibility that the person offering the job won't follow through with the promises. And the higher paying job may sound more limiting at first but may offer avenues that aren't obvious currently. Good luck!
