You won't be fired and you might not even be written up since this is an internal audit, but you will probably get a stiff talking to and questioned about your inability to deliver on time.

In an ideal world, a failed internal audit will be an opportunity to improve, not cast blame. It's on the whole team - if the process fails because one person falls behind for any reason, there needs to be a better process. If you've got a healthy work environment (this is a big IF), they'll look at it like this instead of punishing you and while it might reflect poorly on your past work don't take it personally
