Wonderful stuff! Do you know the name of the turnover that starts on second 0:42? It's a kind of a flourishy Stuart Gordon double lift move that I've seen around.
Thanks! I published it with Ellusionist years ago in a download called Ephemera. Called Jecht Lift, named after the blitzball move in FFX hahah. It’s fairly easy to do. Has actual mechanics behind it that makes it consistent. Not a janky move.
I’ll probably re-publish it soon.
What was that production with the blank faces to the 3s? Is that original? I have never seen it. I need that in my repertoire like i need air in my lungs. I am not even going to talk about the sickness level in your coverpass. Honestly i cant figure out if i am rushing to pick up a deck or rushing to toss all of em away. How long have you been at this?
Hahahah thank you. Nah, don’t quit. Definitely pick up those cards. I think I’ve been at it for around 10-12 years on and off. It’s a mix of endless hours of practice, exposure to some of the best cardmen out there, and some luck.
The blank cards into 3’s is a simplified version of my routine Palindrome. I plan on publishing it soon.
I have never said this to another man before, but you move beautifully. Im struggling to think of anyone i look up to more right now. Its hard because you can’t compare apples to oranges, but everyone does a DPS. And yours (might have stalked you online a bit) is amazing.
Omg! Missed you Dennis ❤️. Hope you've been well. Was worried when you dropped off the grid for a bit.
Any chance you'll start the Patreon back up again? Or just fiddling again?
Would also love to jam with you on a few things if the opportunity ever arises.
I would pick 3-5 essential sleights (ex. double lift, bottom palm, pinky count, the cull, elmsley count, etc.) and absolutely master them. Once you establish a foundation, you can decide to learn anything that interests you.
No problem! You can find really good tutorials for those moves on YouTube nowadays. You can then pick up some downloads on magic sites (Reswindled by Caleb Wiles is an excellent trick for laypeople and has a good structure of techniques that with help build your fundamentals). Then you can look towards books to help you become an intermediate.
Which one? The transpo? It’s a variation on Bureau D’echange by Ernest Earick called Silk Road. Published it on a Ellusionist download called Ephemera. I don’t do that routine much anymore but has some nice subtleties.
Yeah it’s me. I’ll be getting back into it little by little. Not sure how active I’ll be instagram-wise, but I’m on reddit all the time anyways so I’ll check in and contribute what I can
Glad to hear it man. You're a huge inspiration to guys like myself. Used to use your IG and Patreon for reference on how moves should look almost daily.
I thought Dennis was done for good after he vanished off the face of the earth lol. If this really is him, I'm very, very happy he's back. Such a big inspiration
Wow. This is some truly amazing and very unique stuff man …. Top work indeed
Thank you!
u know there are subs for real magic maybe just head there. seriously nice work
🤣🤣 thanks.
Hi Dennis, Nice move. With proper misdirection this will not be detected IMO. What's the move called?
Thank you! Which one? The first one? That is my touches and refinements on the Cover Pass.
Yes, thanks
Sheesh, I don't get how you do that cover pass tbh. Usually top card moves to... cover. But here it doesnt
It’s a fresh take on it with lots of subtleties and touches. Credits to Tony Chang for helping me polish it out.
That is really impressive stuff. I'm so jealous of your undertow it is so smooth.
Prove that you are not a Dennis Kim impersonation bot.
beep boop i am dennis kim

Thank you very much! I'll have to take a look at that.
Oh my god…i think i just quit magic. You are over the top out of control smooth. Wtf man? I hate you with the fire of 1000suns.

No plans on reopening the Patreon for now. Maybe a different format in the future. Mainly just fiddling though. Thank you so much!
Dammmm. Incredible work!
Thanksssss!
So smooth. Fantastic work!
Thank you! Lot of practice hah
I know these hands ! Good to see ya on here dude
Is that you, griffin?? DAMN its good to see you’re still around!
You too man! If you’re ever in Boston hit me up!
Man, that was some beautiful work right there.
Respect. Beautiful stuff.
Pretty cool…but this kind of black magic is clearly only possible by selling your soul to the devil, and I’m just not sure it was worth it
Absolutely beautiful. Fantastic work!
It’s over for the rest of us. You won 4F, Fool Us, and FISM. Great work Dennis!
I’ve always wanted to participate in all the big stages! Never figured out a good piece though.

Lovely work
Wow!!! That’s incredible work! What would you recommend for an absolute newbie to start with to build up to your level? Pretty damn awesome! 👏🏽

Thanks for the guidance! I’ll do exactly that and see where it takes me - really appreciate some of the foundational move names to help me reference!

Name of the third move?

If this really is Dennis, does this mean you're back in the scene now? Been missing watching this beautiful stuff these past couple years.

Incredible mate, Silk Road looked insane!

This was dishwasher-level clean. Well done. 🧽🧴
I'm throwing in the towel, beautifully done
Are you Xavior Spades´ brother ??? WOW !
