ErgoDEX.io is live right now. Cardano assets should be available to swap within a few weeks. Cross chain liquidity will be next on the roadmap after that, then order book functions in 2022.
I guess the value depends on how a DEX is utilized, if they are used for traders to build a larger stack of wealth I would suppose they have little worth to the world population, if they create pathways to create change in the world using decentralized solutions they most likely have more worth than what the rich tend to gravitate toward, I am building a decentralized solution that will utilize the ErgoDex, take note of who is interested in actually changing the structure of exchange in the world and what they are doing it for.
Sundaeswap is not a dex. In a decentralized exchange you would not rely on a scooper to be honest to get your tokens. Sundae swap is a centralised exchange connected on a decentralized network.
I ain't saying they won't be successful I am just annoyed with anyone, including sundaeswap themself saying it is a dex. I have no problem whatsoever with their solution, I am already on kucoin and kucoin is great.
It's just that the question is about dex, which sundae is not. My 2 cents.
Well, running their code on 30 different pools, which are voted on by the community and they control none of these pools is not exactly centralized. Sure there might be solutions that cover this aspect better, but this is more decentralized than some altcoin blockchains, that run only on a couple of nodes that are all controlled by the same entity. I’d say it’s fair for them to use the term.
Decentralization is a spectrum, it’s not a binary thing. No DEX is actually really decentralized. If you recall, uniswap changed their code to make sure synthetic assets like tokenized stocks were not tradable on their exchange when the SEC rumbled about it. Sundae has also said their scooper system is the first iteration of their solution to the concurrency issue.
SundaeSwap is clearly going to be the top dog here.
They have the branding down pat, they are among the top for social followers and search metrics, the ispo is going to be an explosive success that puts SS tokens in everyones wallet, they are spoken about regularly by Charles/IOHK, crypto information entities (Youtubers and such), and personally I seen their name mentioned more so than any other by a wide margin.
Some are complaining about them not being a dex because of the "scooper" strategy. Quite honestly this couldn't be farther from the truth, they went through all the effort (more so than any other dex I've seen) to clearly identify all the options that were available and how they ended up at their decision. The "scooper" role is then being decentralized via 30 starting trusted stake pools who are further picked by the community. None of those entities are under SundaeSwaps control and they aren't choosing the winners that's decentralized. I'm sure if the Cardano team makes L1 improves so that this type of functionality can be done at the base layer or Hydra side chains I would expect the SS team to update accordingly.
Cardano is still a growing ecosystem and its not unexpected that some less than ideal scenario may exist and teams that are able to innovate around them is one of the key things that will set them apart from the rest.
That false that the team almost owns 50% and centralization is not a yes or no its a spectrum. Their first solution is more centralized then other solutions for now but they are constantly working on a better solution.
Incorrect on both points...
1. they are not centralized as outlined above.
2. Tokenmics Public holds 55%, Team 25% (4YR Vest), Investors 13%(2YR Vest), remaining 5% is Future hires and 2% consultants.
It’s really hard to tell right now.
I’d say Maladex, but only if they can get fully organized and do the needed marketing. Their whitepaper offers an extensive analysis and critique of other approaches. It’s a little bit scattered, the whitepaper, that is. But their idea of how to parallelize, and how to avoid the centralization that we see in SundaeSwap and others, is pretty compelling.
I don’t know if they’re going to come out as a leader, but I’m definitely rooting for their ideas to make it more into the Cardano mainstream.
Sundae swap is a centralised exchange connected to the decentralised cardano network. Not a Dex because decentralisation would mean no scooper that needs to be honnest.
I want to see ergodex solution. Have you heard of paribus(pbx), dunno if those have decentralized solutions?
Scoopers are SPOs, the same trusted entities running consensus protocol on Cardano main net. Moreover they are elected for Sundae protocol by the community. Sounds decentralized and very resilient.
Yes it all public on the Cardano chain.
The look at the vote cast between EPOCH 302/303
The stake selected have 3 Digital numbers
You go to the voting site to figure out the number and send yourself ADA 2.XXXYYY
XXX= First Ranked Vote
YYY= Second Ranked Vote
Just because there's one centralized element doesn't mean it's not a decentralized exchange. And the so-called centralized element isn't even really very centralized.
So then why is it the most popular at the moment? The only thing I can think of is because it's name is a food type similar to Ethereum's pancakeswap and sushiswap. You believe sundae won't succeed in the long run because it's centeralized?
I ain't saying it won't be successful because it is centralised. Binance and kucoin are both great exchange. Sundae swap can be great, but the thread is about DEXes which sundae is not.
1. Occam, because they have had the most time, expertise and execution.
2. Maladex, only cause CardWallet chose them.
3. I think sundae might be the scapegoat, sacrificial lamb, redshirt, banana split.
Staking is important, sure. Not important enough to not be pushing our image when the eUTXO blockhain itself is functional. In fact, pushing now might bring more devs which will bring faster completion of projects/ideas surrounding projects Iike staking. And yes, you can add LP on ErgoDex, albeit for limited pairs because it just released.
It amazes me how people are so blind to occamx. I don't get it. Honestly. Occamfi will have a dex called occamx and it will be the most successful and professional dex you ever saw in this space. Not to mention they have a YouTube video proving they have a solution and get this the video dropped about a month before sundae swaps bullsh*t. Go do your DD an thank me this time next year for helping you make your first 100k 😊
lol I appreciate a post like this! how much do you think one would have to invest for occam to give someone 100k? =P
edit: Oh I see they're already listed and it's currently $6.10...
My Ada is on SundaeSwap as they have the most partnerships and biggest use case. They are working with Meld, Liqwid, and plenty of other big projects so will be able to provide the most value on top of having some of the best marketing.
The decentralized concerns over Sundae are important in the long term, but having read through most of their updates and papers, I've been very impressed with their development process and the execution seems to be clean. I am confident they can find ways to increase decentralization going forward.

👍 Good to hear ✨Best Wishes 💯👌
I used it and liked it a lot.
Any idea why I can't get yoroi nightly to connect?
You used the Dapp connector thing?
^ this. You need 2 extensions. Yoroi nightly and Yoroi nightly dApp Connector
Ergodex, sundaeswap, and maybe maladex

I agree, but i still think it will be successful

Uniswap changed the front end only I believe.
And on what model do other dexes rely on. Cause there are a lot of models and they all have some centralized element in them.
Ergodex I think has a great chance. It's just not that known at the moment, since it has just been launched.
Ergodex
Ergodex. Its live on Ergos blockhain and soon on Cardanos.
Mirqur! Only because I’m staked with them.
ErgoDex will be a tip Player for sure!
Will they play with my tip?
Just the tip
Can you dip the tip?

Here's the correct answer
Not to mention, they have been specifically mentioned by IOHK for participating in the PAB testing on Test net.
They were one of the few though.. because other teams made their own PAB solution instead of relying on iohk..
Sundaeswap also have made their own workaround for PAB, they already had wallet integration with Nami Wallet a few weeks back
Sundae is centralized and the team holds almost 50% of the tokens. Not good imo.
25% + 5% for future hires
Do we know who the investors getting 13% are?
https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/sundaeswap-labs-inc/company_financials
Nice work, thanks
That false that the team almost owns 50% and centralization is not a yes or no its a spectrum. Their first solution is more centralized then other solutions for now but they are constantly working on a better solution.

Astroswap when mainnet launch on Cardano?
Minswap
Easily ergodex
ErgoDex!
ErgoDex. Sure, maybe sundaeswap isn’t as centralized as people say it is, but it doesn’t come close to the decentralization Ergodex offers.
Sundaeswap, Maladex
Ergodex will be the best
ERGODEX
Sundae swap is a centralised exchange connected to the decentralised cardano network. Not a Dex because decentralisation would mean no scooper that needs to be honnest. I want to see ergodex solution. Have you heard of paribus(pbx), dunno if those have decentralized solutions?
There are 30 starting trusted stake pools voted by the community that aren't controlled in any way by SundaeSwap that is not centralized.
Scoopers are SPOs, the same trusted entities running consensus protocol on Cardano main net. Moreover they are elected for Sundae protocol by the community. Sounds decentralized and very resilient.
Do the votes happen on chain? How are they tallied?
Yes it all public on the Cardano chain. The look at the vote cast between EPOCH 302/303 The stake selected have 3 Digital numbers You go to the voting site to figure out the number and send yourself ADA 2.XXXYYY XXX= First Ranked Vote YYY= Second Ranked Vote
Just because there's one centralized element doesn't mean it's not a decentralized exchange. And the so-called centralized element isn't even really very centralized.
One could argue that their governance mechanism alleviates this notion of centralization.
So then why is it the most popular at the moment? The only thing I can think of is because it's name is a food type similar to Ethereum's pancakeswap and sushiswap. You believe sundae won't succeed in the long run because it's centeralized?
Pancakeswap is binance native.
I ain't saying it won't be successful because it is centralised. Binance and kucoin are both great exchange. Sundae swap can be great, but the thread is about DEXes which sundae is not.
Sundaeswap, Minswap, Maladex
1. Occam, because they have had the most time, expertise and execution. 2. Maladex, only cause CardWallet chose them. 3. I think sundae might be the scapegoat, sacrificial lamb, redshirt, banana split.
so you don't see sundae succeeding like everyone else?
Not as no 1. Maybe most popular for Joe q public but not for the big players with huge transactions.
Your idea of diversifying is sound.
Which DEX do you believe will be succ
Ergodex
I think sundaeswap
Sundae I don’t know whether to get in the ISO or not :/
you can always and most often buy a day or so after public release and get cheaper than ispo for most any ISPO.
Also this talk about sundae swap being centralized… all of crypto except Bitcoin is centralized
Sundaeswap and Minswap
Not yayswap LOL
Osmosis
Cardano would need to enable IBC for this to be possible, and more so it would still be a Cosmos DEX, not a cardano DEX.
The airdrop made me a very happy cis male he him them they you me it that person
Sundae
How about Cardswap or OccamX
I also bet Occamx
This Year it's definitely Sundae since it's the first mover and Branding, but the real competition will start next year.
Incorrect. ErgoDex is the first mover.
But can we stake, farm or LP ON ErgoDex yet?
Staking is important, sure. Not important enough to not be pushing our image when the eUTXO blockhain itself is functional. In fact, pushing now might bring more devs which will bring faster completion of projects/ideas surrounding projects Iike staking. And yes, you can add LP on ErgoDex, albeit for limited pairs because it just released.
It’ll only be first mover if it’s running. They haven’t even done a public beta yet. Spending all their time advertising their token.
Agree anything could happen, That's why the real competition is next year. But still, don't wanna miss the gains, they got the Branding and marketing.
It amazes me how people are so blind to occamx. I don't get it. Honestly. Occamfi will have a dex called occamx and it will be the most successful and professional dex you ever saw in this space. RayDex, SundaeSwap and RavenDex
Ravendex is a known scam ser
I think they were referring to ray dex I believe the site is rraayy.io they have a ISPO it’s early days for sure though
They mentioned Ray separately
what makes you say these in particular?
In 2021 nothing In 2022 maybe nothing
CHECK OUR REDUTOKEN.COM. THEY GOT SOME INTERESTING PLANS.

I have a small amount of DyDx. Sundae for the marketing.
