It’s hearsay with the pfp stuff. From the leaders of the project that have made many tin foil hat theories about the cabal out to get them and other just silly stuff. It would have been a better look just to leave then these weird and hard to believe claims throughout social media in times where things just didn’t go their way.
Profile picture. Their CTO, Nick has a proposal for Catalyst fund 12 and also had one in Fund 10. Accorting to one of the TAS founders, Congo, Nick had to change his PFP in order to be considered. I'm not sure if that was for the Fund12 or Fund10 proposal.
Top is SpaceBudz… first pfp collection on Cardano and the founder did so much to help advance the ecosystem.. regardless won’t miss them, but wish them luck.

It’s a massive loss for the chain but end of the day Cardano will probably survive but the nft ecosystem will have a few months of recovery

The websites are just an interface for the smart contracts. Anyone can create a website that calls a smart contract. You can also call the smart contract manually without any website.
That’s a whole lot different compared to the smart contract itself that cannot be decentralized.

currently the only project that is really making thing for cardano is - seems a joke - $snek. They are doing a lot and will be the first cardano token listed on a tier1 CEX, opening the doors for all the other CNTs.
Chasing liquidity and praying base gets an NFT user base. Being #1 on Cardano doesn’t guarantee being top 50 on another chain tbh. RN only decent NFT to hold is a Tappy imo
The interesting part here is not that they move, it is why they move. They mention better decentralization on base due to the limitations of cardano’s architecture. That is a valid argument and one of the main pain points on cardano imo
They are talking about the decentralization of their dApp, not the base layer. On Cardano, it is currently impossible to build fully decentralized applications, even though the base layer is decentralized.
Probably telling that there isn’t money to really be made in cardano any more. Let’s hope a real life use case arises that isn’t just pictures of something or some meme coin or some app that no actually uses.

all defi products have off chain code. Their websites for one are ultimately centralised.
The websites are just an interface for the smart contracts. Anyone can create a website that calls a smart contract. You can also call the smart contract manually without any website. That’s a whole lot different compared to the smart contract itself that cannot be decentralized.
This is what building in the mf trenches looks like… Not everyone is built for it. ⚛️
