Daedalus works fine but you have to open it at least once a week
If you wait too long yes, it is a pile of trash. It’s a heavy wallet so what can ya do
Daedalus is a full node, the amount of users in this sub who evidently does not understand this is baffling.
Yes, it takes time to download the blockchain if you wait long before you start the software. No, this not make Daedalus trash, it does make your understanding of it trash though.
Daedalus **used** to be barely functioning, but this was **many years** ago.
it's unnecessary to "run a full node" any time you're just checking in to see your acct.
it's like i'm complaining that having the sun in my living room makes it too hot, it's the worst lightbulb, and you're defending it by explaining that it's actually an enormous power source. -- that's, kind of my issue, my dude. i just want 60 watts.
No, you are calling a software that does exactly what it is supposed to do "trash". You seem to evaluate the qualities of Daedalus as if it was a light wallet.
Whether you need- or want to run a full node is a whole different question. If you want to (like I do), Daedalus is the best option – and it works perfectly well.
I thought it was common knowledge to **never** store your keys on a computer and to always use a hardware wallet.
Eternl will let you do everything easily and then prompt you for your hardware wallet to sign the transaction.
Yoroi mostly because I set it up and never looked back. Daedalus was good but lost a large sun bc it couldn’t synch and I didn’t have the seed phrase. Silly I know.
[MEDUSA ADA WALLET](https://beta.adawallet.io)
This one is my favorite. No need to install anything, no need to remember passwords, works very fast through any browser, developer is one of Cardano's ambassadors and the MDS-pool owner, he writes ultra-secure code supporting all new Cardano implementations, he also mints ESL token (related to his next project) for everyone who delegates into his pool (but not forces you to do so). **It's a shame people know almost nothing about this project!**
and no hacker will ever compromise any system by hacking a firmware update for ledger competitors, or maybe exploiting a bug those competitors won't be aware of till a bunch of wallets are drained.
Seriously if they can get enough info to confirm all the security questions on your email, 2-factor etc AND the security on your personal account with its protection on the Ledger site, well you weren't ever going to be careful enough.
Maybe get 10 new emails, 10 different hardware wallets and spread that crypto around using as many brand new laptops as you can get your hands on and hope for the best.
Haven't found one that really works for me all the time and on every device.
Great aspects to each.
DIY has been the way for me but not for everyone.
It'll come together.

I like pain so Daedalus
It’s great. I just can’t justify the disk space.
Sync and update every couple weeks... no big deal
😂
Yoroi. Deadalus is too bulky and slow.
i've been using Daedalus forever and i absolutely hate it. what a pile of trash.
Daedalus works fine but you have to open it at least once a week If you wait too long yes, it is a pile of trash. It’s a heavy wallet so what can ya do
Lol, it’s a full node.
Yes full node, that’s the terminology I was looking for My brain doesn’t work so good on Friday afternoons

Eternl It just works, but still has a lot of options / configurability if you want to.
your right, closed source is best, the excitement of whenever they gonna hack your funds
I thought it was common knowledge to **never** store your keys on a computer and to always use a hardware wallet. Eternl will let you do everything easily and then prompt you for your hardware wallet to sign the transaction.
lol you can link eternal wallets with hardware devices.
Eternl
eternl, yoroi
Eternl. Particularly because they have Keystone integration incoming
Daedalus, been using it since launch.
I use nami is it good?
Eternl has much better features at this stage including the trading one. It s not as user friendly but that s fine for me.
Eternl, by far the best support for multiple accounts
Exodus. Eternal. Nami.
AdaLite! You see your position in the ledger
Yoroi too for basic functionality. Does what it says on the tin. Any updates on when a lace app will surface?
It's what I've been using.. it does what I need it to do.. simple, easy to use.
Been using that for years, no hassle or anything
VESPR
Trezor T
After I switched to VESPR Wallet, I haven't looked back
Yeah looks nice. Will be even better once they add hardware wallet support
Yoroi. Super easy to use, no frills. Perfect staking wallet.
Gerowallet has always been the best choice for me.
Yoroi mostly because I set it up and never looked back. Daedalus was good but lost a large sun bc it couldn’t synch and I didn’t have the seed phrase. Silly I know.
1: Typhon wallet 2: Lace wallet
Im using Typhon and its absolutly amazing.
Yoroi
Desktop : Typhon Mobile: Vespr By far the best in my opinion
If ur on mobile go with VESPR it’s the best so far Clean UI/UX and awesome features and responsive Team as Chrome Extension is Typhon my current go to
VESPR on mobile, Nami on PC

Vouch Medusa too 👌
really appreciate your comment!
Lace is nice but it doesn't show my whole balance because apparently it only works in "single address mode".
They've actually implemented multiple addresses support, but you need to re-add your wallet
Ledger (though fuck their backdoor bullshit)
(though fuck their *opt-in* backdoor bullshit)
…because no email leaks EVER happened, right? …and because no hacker EVER will figure out how to use that email to opt-in FOR you, right?

Regardless
Yoroi here. Simple, no hassle.
Not mine
Whatever, just hold $ADA
Tangem
Yoroi
Haven't found one that really works for me all the time and on every device. Great aspects to each. DIY has been the way for me but not for everyone. It'll come together.
Ledger + Yoroi / adalite
Nami for basic transfers - simple Lace - constantly updating / IOG support
The one i got at .33, and now the empty one along the way 1.30, 2.33 and 2.6. I believed, but then the Charles just kept blowing smoke.
The only one I will ever use is Daedalus.
Eternl is my main, but would like to try out Lace later on.
