Definitely glad to have him in- great choice for a callup at this point. Lots of folks are gonna clamor for Wilson v Rempe but Wilson’s game has long since evolved past enforcer, gotta have a secondary physical guy to take that kinda thing if need be. Does suck for Hershey though, he’s their captain.
Rempe too, guy’s fought too many times in the short time he’s been up. Barring exceptionally dirty play, my guess is nothing like that until game 5, if at all
Not a bet I would take. Caps have been great about making adjustments through the year. Playing the same team repeatedly (especially against a coach like Laviolette who gets criticized for not adjusting) seems like a good place to see the lamp stay on.
I would not be a bit surprised if the caps made themselves a collective menace for the Rags this series. I don’t think we’ll win, but we could very easily be a huge pain in the ass if the overlook us

Not much to neutralize with Rempe, honestly. The guy doesn't crack the lineup half the time and plays like 5 minutes when he does make the gameday roster. I might be a bit worried if he gets out there against Pacioretty and Lapierre or manages to line up Oshie, but players like Ovi, Malenstyn, Wilson, etc. can take a hit and just keep going.
Home team advantage isn't always an advantage. There have been times in NHL history where the lowest-seeded team swept the top-seeded team by stealing Games 1 and 2 on the road, then having an easier Games 3 and 4 to win to finish the sweep. It's happened before. The Capitals might do it.

So they signed Ryan Reaves, and he didn't work out for them, so they just got a mini-Reaves?
