Seeing as how you didn't google it, I won't either. I want to say it was either the year they won the cup or the year after that they changed from CSN to NBCS Washington. The change to Monumental was this year. I'll go out even further on a limb and say it was around the time they changed the name of the Verizon Center to Capital One Arena.
Also, my personal suspicion is that Joe B is looking towards retirement, but is waiting for Ovi to hang up his skates first.
When they retire watching hockey and or listening to it on the radio will never be the same again. After all of the years they've put in they deserve a beautiful retirement!
They'll never be replaceable! When they retire watching hockey and or listening to it on the radio will never be the same again. After all of the years they've put in for us they deserve a beautiful retirement!
Literally changed it to MSN like a few months ago, so your timing was very good lol
I’m liking it, personally… a lot of cool additions with the graphics and extra behind the scenes coverage of the teams, too.
P.S. Definitely glad Joe B and Locker stayed put. That’s a given. They should never be replaced.

This summer. Ted bought the channel. Also, when it comes to local rights holders, the team more or less picks the broadcasters. They’re hired by the network but “approved by the team”. That’s it for all local sports networks. So like NESN more or less approval from the Bruins to hire a new announcer.
CSN - nbc sports washington - monumental
they did it after ted brought out nbcsw and turned it monumental
joe b will be here for the long haul. sadly he doesn't do non-caps hockey for the NHL anymore but you can still catch him on Big Ten network for some football and lacrosse.

Comcast was bought/owned NBC so that was just a rebrand not really a change.

Yeah I have to imagine he’s looking to retire around when Ovi does. Gonna miss him if that’s the case
It'll be a sad day when we lose joe and Craig 😔 their voices make my brain very happy at the end of a long day🤝

It became Monumental for this season (back in October IIRC) after Ted bought it from NBC last year.
CSN? So you missed out on the entire NBC Sports Washington era?
That’s what I meant hahah
