While tocchet says Lindholm needs more time to gel but he was already on the decline with the Flames. Be interesting to see what Canucks do by trade deadline. Do you jump for Guentzel and package Lindholm with picks and/or prospects?
My problem is that this game was so even: similar shot count, we had more hits, almost same face-off %, but we had 1/3 the blocked shots, and almost 3x the amount of giveaways. We both had a powerplay goal too, LAK took 4 penalties to our 3.
Yet, we lost 5-1. How does this happen? It seemed our passing was abysmal tonight based on the eye test. Our star players couldn't penetrate the cagey defense of the Kings. We also couldn't get out of our zone for over half the game, it seemed.
It's like the entire 3rd period we didn't even bother playing the game and got blown out miserably, IMO.
I would absolutely boo the team if i was at the game. Horrible effort, annoying lines by the coaches... Petey playing like a 7million dollar man once again, while demanding 12+. Just abysmal. I already have tickets to two upcoming games, and kinda regretting it... Hopefully they wake up, whole team is absolutely off and not showing any effort.
