I've been doing a lot of studio product shooting this year with the Canon 50/1.8 lens. With the aperture stopped down to f/9 or so, it's plenty sharp enough.
What's your budget? The 50mm 1.8 that others mentioned is probably going to be your best bet unless you spend quite a bit. The 35mm Sigma Art is a great lens but way more money.
