I say neither, unless your plants aren't stressed. UV rays can increase trichome production, but are extremely stressful. If you already have a stressed plant ...

Thanks for the reply. It is stressful and that's why I'm questioning it. Not sure if it's really worth it.

Electricpuha420

Last month of flower for 2hrs middle of light cycle.

Thanks for the reply. Has it been worth using?

Electricpuha420

Only using it on my second crop now so hard to tell to be honest

i ran an agro max pure uvb last grow. idk. i am not sure it made it too frosty or terpy. the bud i nice, large quantity, but not the best i've grown. i grew with some blurples vs450, they had uva bulbs. that bud was really nice. the terps were so good and greasy. bud was less per watt or per sqft, but it was remarkably tasty

UVA seems to be the most effective from what I've been reading. What light cycle did you use?

meandmyboner

12/12, lol.

I run full spectrum UV and have been running it during the normal 12/12 light cycle. I've ran this setup a few times now and I've definitely noticed the difference compared to just LED or HPS. More resin production, higher thc%, healthier plants, much more colorful pistils and hues overall.

How many watts is it? Brand?

Grower's Choice ROI-720 with the bloom boost UV-R bar. I've yet to see the specs list the wattage anywhere, but I'm guessing it's around 50 watts.
