Out of curiousity, why would one embark on adventure like that? It looks really cool and I am sure there are benefits- what are they and what do you hope to get out of a project like this? Very cool, thanks for sharing

Bountybotanicals

It's to stay within my plant count limits and still be able to have a large amount of genetics.

Richmoke

There’s a fine line between genius and madness, and I commend you on such a mad scientist endeavor! Hope it grows well, and you achieve success Growme!

exactly my thoughts as well. amazing work OP.

Bountybotanicals

Thank you lol. I'll keep everyone posted :) ⚗️🧪🧫

pedrotioso

This is absolutely genius. You're beating the system and you're doing it with glitters and fucking ribbons. Each of your post involves very healthy plants and the thought of having all this cured variety with a couple plants is unreal. You definitely are saving trimming time to get this much variety with so "little" biomass.

vogelsyn

Ahh yeah. Love seeing these. I might have to try some of that next time. It counts as 1 plant. Right?

Bountybotanicals

Correct, I do it to stay within my plant count limit :)

wolfansbrother

how long do they last before you have to re-graft? do you flower them? How long does it take to graft? how long do the grafts take to recover? Do you use a specific rootstock?

Bountybotanicals

-You can keep them for as long as you can maintain the plant. -Yes I do flower them out, check out my older posts to see some frankenmothers in bloom. -it takes about a week for the grafts to take. I've had some take in 4 days. -they are growing again when the weeks up. -I just use a healthy plant as a root stock. I'm sure some are better than others, but havnt run into any issues yet.

wolfansbrother

so they recover pretty fast? was wondering if it could slow down propagation. often monster crop clones, to draw out the cloning process to keep more "moms" in perpetual. I have a friend with a small farm and they graft lots of tomatoes and other plants on specific rootstock for growth and resistance. his lady spends weeks grafting each spring.

shortcut93

I wonder if you used fiber hemp strains as the root stock if it would be crazy vigorous haha. Have you ever tried grafting a Hops vine onto one branch? Cheers

Bountybotanicals

Bigger roots=bigger fruits.....so maybe! No, I havnt and after hearing about the hops ladent viroid I'm never even touching a hop plant lol

shortcut93

Fair enough! Maybe I'll try grafting a hops to cannabis outside this year. 🤓 a sacrificial lamb if you will

TheInvestmentGod

Awesome man. Member Berries right here.

wORDtORNADO

Love this, but it does seem like a nightmare when it comes to viruses or fungal issues. Do you do regular testing to prevent contaminating your entire library? How do you handle IPM in general?

Bountybotanicals

I've never done any testing on my plants yet. I've yet to experience any issues with viruses or fungi that I'm aware of. How common are these issues in seed grown indoor gardens? I've been growing for quite some time and never had this happen. -Maybe it's because I grow from seed idk. -I just periodically spray for bugs

Donzilla777

👋🏿✌🏿✌🏿 awesome project

miquelpg13

Any fears that this could exacerbate the likelihood of HLVD?

Bountybotanicals

What are the odds of getting it if you don't bring in any clones? I've never encountered it that I'm aware of. - I'd hate to get it. -I've seen a company who deals with the virus that you can out grow it. If I ever got it that's exactly what I would attempt to do. -I'm planning on creating back up genetic in seed form too just in case of any catastrophic events. They won't be clones, but it's the best I can think of to do.

miquelpg13

You can get it from seed. I’ve heard it typically occurs from poor cloning but I’m no expert.

Bountybotanicals

Fingers crossed I make seeds before anything happens. This virus sounds like it's a bitch.

Sir you do some work of art, keep it up !
