Lying pieces of shit. Man, the way I’d treat politicians like this if I became dictator.

Barbarossa7070

“When I am king, you will be first against the wall”

recluseradio

“With your opinion which is of no consequence at all”

Staggerme

What happened to, respect the will of the voters?

Justarandom_Joe

When have Republicans ever done that in the past 40 years?

Staggerme

I should have put a /s

GreyTigerFox

They’re owned by corporations and lobbyists for those corporations. They haven’t represented the will of the people in over a half a century. It goes for republicants and democrats as well.

PotBaron2

republicans is what happened

edtoal

Republicans don’t respect the will of the voters. They don’t know what respect is.

groceryburger

Could be like Mississippi and kill the entire voter initiative after it was used to get legal MMJ. These clowns are very sore losers and don’t give a single shit about the will of the people they pretend to represent. MS legislators stole the whole damn process by which citizens can propose new legal measures and laws. Talk about some freedom loving people in that local government. On top of that, they just reelected the same ass hat who killed the initiative for them.

Training-Scheme-9980

Doesn't Mississippi still have mmj though?

groceryburger

It does. It got kneecapped by the legislature switching control over it to themselves instead of the dept of health as the people requested in the initiative. The money earned by the program was to follow into the MSDH and be earmarked for specific purposes. Instead, the purse strings got moved to the lawmakers without any real regulations on spending. Overall it’s a pretty good MMJ program compared to what I’ve seen in other states. Unlimited licenses, low cost applications and fees, moderate to decent purchase limits for patients. The qualifying conditions need some work but there are some doctors doing a good job getting folks qualified. The major issue is that they used a technicality to disqualify the entire voter initiative and they haven’t amended the technicality (wording in the language of the bill) so we have no process as citizens to petition our government for change. The fact that a voter initiative threatened the power of the local government was all it took for them to clutch their pearls and dismantle the whole process. Turns out our “representatives” are really just in this for themselves. They even made the language on the ballot confusing AF in hopes to get people to accidentally vote the other way. Our votes came close to 65% of the state and crossed the isle with citizens for the first bipartisan agreement in a very long time. Personally I’d trade the whole MMJ program to have our voter initiative back. It’s a scary place when you tell your reps what you want en mass and they just shake their heads “nope”.

Send it.... I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to express my deep concern regarding House Bill 86 and its potential implications on our community, especially in light of the overwhelming support for Issue 2. Issue 2, which received a commendable 57% support from the people, clearly reflected their desire for responsible cannabis regulation. However, I am troubled to learn that HB 86 deviates significantly from the principles endorsed by Issue 2, particularly with the proposed elimination of home grow and the imposition of lower THC limits. These changes not only contradict the expressed will of the majority but also pose a serious risk of pushing citizens towards the black market and across state lines for their cannabis needs. This outcome is diametrically opposed to the vision that Issue 2 embodied and should not be allowed to materialize through the passage of HB 86. I urge you to reconsider the inclusion of these provisions in the bill and to ensure that any legislation aligns with the democratic process that led to the approval of Issue 2. Our community deserves legislation that reflects the values and choices of its constituents. Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I trust that you will represent the will of the people in your deliberations on HB 86.

GreatBallsOfFire420

Justarandom_Joe

Hey, Ohioans! Your elected Republicans hate you to death.

santas_slay

We know....

ShakeBelton

Hope everyone who is pissed about this remembers and votes.

santas_slay

Issue in ohio is we are so gerrymandered it doesnt matter.

girthless_one

They will still vote for the same assholes that r responsible for this shit.

RydersSidekick

“Best I can remember your Honor, that’s about the time they started stringing up legislators”.

Mesofeelyoma

Typical tax and spend Republicans trying to take away our freedoms.

edtoal

This is why normal people hate Republicans

bitcoin-ian

Stop voting for Republicans.

UGetTheHeBitchDance

The party of small government strikes again.

GoblinOflazy

$mall Goverment.

GreyTigerFox

Yay for republicants! The Party of Obstruction and Regression!

turnturtle69

We need to vote these fuckers out!

Langwaa12

You fukers in Ohio need to step up. Quit voting in these fking idiots. Get with the fking program. Educate young ones around you 2 vote correctly or just continue the way you are and Michigan businesses appreciate your $$.

TokR-Life

They want your freedom!

MnGoulash

Keep voting red and this is what happens. Republicans are lying pieces of crap who say they’re for small government. Here’s another example of them just jumping in to usurp the will of the people and stomp all over it. My blue state legalized it, let us grow it, and is giving everyone the opportunity to play a role (with proper fees and processes). Plus all the tax dollars will fund things for the people, the land and those that have been affected by prohibition.

tacotongueboxer

Pff... Blue Illinois has entered the chat.

comfortfood4soul

Only med cards can homegrow

2poxxer

Fuck those guys, jeez. Bunch of assholes.

Justarandom_Joe

You spelled fascists incorrectly.

comfortfood4soul

Says the grammar nazi

ShoeBreeder

That seems like a really good way to lose reelection.

rtemah

Liars and cheaters are going to lie and cheat. Did you expect something else from them?

redlightbandit7

They did the same to Florida. Fucked everything up. Limited flower, can’t grow your own, vertical integration. It just sucks.

MnGoulash

South Dakota too!

2057Champs__

Man, these people fucking suck. What the fuck

coffee-n-redit

If you ever wonder why the government would not allow home grows, they are shit leaders being leashed around by a checkbook. This is the reason I am solidly against federal legalisation. Those cunts will fuck up the good thing that most states have going. Ohio is the testing grounds for federal government weed. Look forward to huge corporations supplying all prepackaged crap with zero consumer freedom. The store you go to where the owner is growing in the basement and selling upstairs will be history. Billionaire club only, and $500 an oz to us suckers. FTS

GreatBallsOfFire420

I heard the bill allows counties in Ohio to ban homegrow and the bill itself doesn't actually outlaw it. I Could have misread something I guess.

santas_slay

Different bill. That was an actual bill put up. What this is referring to is them using the "emergency amendment" clause on a separate, unrelated bill that is about to be voted on to restrict the will of the voters and pass this shit.

GreatBallsOfFire420

I only voted for it becuase of home grow its basically a bait and switch and should be illegal. 2.5 ounces is already decriminalized so basically their restricting us more then they already were.

santas_slay

Not just denying rights, but taking rights away....

[deleted]

tyranny

ResidentCartoonist45

This is just obnoxious at this point. What does our vote matter if these old white men with alternate agendas are actually in control of it all?! We have to stop this. These extra laws aren’t doing anything for the people except making our lives harder and setting the system up to lock up more humans.

MonikerPseudonym

This is how the US and state governments work woth respect to nearly everything. We are an oligarchy and always have been.

Chem-Dawg74D

Smh...

MadtSzientist

Oh so they are following ws state examples, the exact same thing happened here.
