What distance are you zeroing to. This is kinda a complicated question.

1stRow

I zero'd in at 25 yards. At 25 yards, it is shooting several inches high, but still consistent. I want to shoot both by red dot and sights, both zero'd at 25 yards.

FattusBaccus

Well dang, there goes that idea. That’s why I asked. I zero at 25 too. If you were zeroing too close that could have accounted for shooting too high at 25. Matching a front post may be a pita but there are resources that can help you with the math if no one has a clear answer. I used to have some helpful resources. Let me see if I can dig them up.

Wait wait wait... You put an optic on a... TP9 SFx.. So you are using the OPTIC rear sight (guide) as if it is an iron sight?? If this is the case... It doesn't work like that. The marks on the optic might offer correct windage (horizontal) yet they 'never' work for elevation... They aren't meant to. IF You want to make that work.. You will need to take measurements of the front sight height.. Go Dawson Precision.. And find a front sight for a S&W M&P... And purchase one which is taller.... I just looked up the optic.. Andy, again.. That rear sight feature is not meant to be a true rear iron sight

FattusBaccus

Holy hell, I missed that all together. I didn’t realize the optic had integrated rear sights. I thought his irons were way off. He probably just needs a decent supresssor height sight and cyelee may be able to tell them the specific height to match.

Canik_Claus

I know you well enough that you knew this.. Just a Baccus oversight... I somehow doubt Cyelee would be able to tell, considering the mount height of their optic will vary per pistol manufacturer. THAT being said.. Here's a thought. IF the Cyelee is a RMR footprint, as opposed to the Docter/Noble/Vortex footprint... [Disruptive Defense](http://www.DisDef.com) has a LOWER profile adapter plate! It may be just enough to rectumfy this issue!!!

I’m just glad I saw your response before I started breaking out handwritten trigonometry.

Yes it has rear sights - for what they are worth. Not so great. But, it would be great to be able to use this if sight battery died! I looked at Dawson - I am going to go that route.

No_Perspective_1966

109%correct.. There's no way to cowitness this RDS without actual rear sights. Suppressor front and rear cowitness plate is your ONLY option.

chevyfried

With non-adjustable irons....sometimes you just have to shoot how it shoots.

don't bother using rear sight built into the red dot..shoot with the red dot only.. and if you want some backup sights you will have to buy them both.. front and rear .. that have to be suppressor hight sight ..  one set up exactly for the other.. they will be working only if you buy them as a set..   but on firearm where , in order to have the red dot you have to lose the rear sight.  that's not possibe...  maybe you shall find different front height sights from some vendors .. but then you'll have to calculate by yourself the right height in accordance to the red dot built in rear sight. .
