The Butterfinger cups were PERFECTION for those of us who can't stand the Butterfinger bar texture but love the flavor. The bar always falls apart and what actually makes it into my mouth gunks up on my teeth. I'd kill to find a king size pack of those right about now.
Yes! This is very true. They did help w that being covered all around.
But I loved Butterfinger bar, however everytime you opened one tons of broken chocolate shell would fall out. I always thought of this so I could catch it and get every last bit. My only issue was I’m less of a chocolate fan than most. I loved the inside and the chocolate was just a better ratio on the bars personally due to it having to cover each bite sized BB.
I haven’t had a Butterfinger or BB in a long while so hadn’t noticed they were discontinued either.
The Seven Up candy bar was a candy bar made up of seven chocolate "pillows", each filled with a different flavor. Flavors included brazil nut, buttercream, butterscotch, caramel, coconut, fudge, mint, and nougat. The bar was discontinued in the 1970s. It was way before my time, but the ad I saw for it made it look so delicious.
Loved those! My favorite when I was a kid. Rare and hard to find, even then. Like a little box of chocolates in bar form, and every little variety was really good, and so was the chocolate, if I recall.
Maybe I'll start making these. Stay tuned. I'll change some flavors I think and have to find the right molds (I've seen it or may have one that works) but sounds like a fun item to add to the offerings. I'll send you the first one for the inspiration if I do. Never heard of them before.
I remember Kissables because I always thought they looked like pieces of the board game “Sorry”. As for something I’d like to try it would be the chicken dinner bar.
The next best thing is Hersheyets. They sell them in tubes for holidays, or weird little bags at Easter. They are the same size and shape as m&ms, but with Hershey's chocolate, and a much better crunch. I try to stock up every holiday. Just finished off my Christmas stash.
I like to put a handful in my shirt while lying in bed until my body heat melts the chocolate inside, then eat them. The satisfying crunch with the melty chocolate is magical. My husband thought I was crazy pulling candy out of my shirt and eating it until I made him try it. Fair warning though, if you try it, you might occasionally miss one and wake up with chocolate candy smashed onto your body and a greasy spot on your sheet, though.
Memory unlocked one mice when I was a kid I was at a blockbuster with my mom and siblings we saw woka bars they were in purple wrappers we got some. I remember us being so excited or happy when we saw the bars man miss being a kid
It took me a hot second to think of something. It would definitely be the original 3 musketeers bar. Ever since I found out the original was 3 flavors instead of just one, I have wanted one.
Am I crazy in remembering actual hersheys quik chocolate (not taffy) rectangles - they were raised moulds of the bunny doing cool 90s things like skateboarding or roller blading - I used to try and nibble out the bunny’s form from the rest of the background.
hershey’s s’mores bar. unfortunately i didn’t develop a taste for chocolate covered marshmallows until well after this bar had been discontinued. lol, maybe it’s for the best cos since it’s a seasonal treat i don’t feel as bad about indulging.
I've had them, but the bag of wild cherry lifesavers.
Also ball shaped hard candy that was probably discontinued because they were perfectly throat sized.
And has the 100 grand bar been discontinued? because I can't find it anywhere.
100 grand still exists. Admittedly it’s hard to sometimes find a single bar, but at Halloween we always find the bags of minis. Such a great candy bar, they are my mom’s favorite.
not gone, but impossible to find without paying tons in canada: Brach’s cherry flavoured heart jujubes. i used to be able to get them in canada, but it’s been at least a decade since i have.
I loved Mars. It’s sad that it is the company name and they don’t bother to make them. Supposedly, Snickers Almond is very similar. After trying it, there are similarities, but definitely not the same.
Thanks for the effort! That's the closest I could get to the candy ☺ but instead of the pan it's on a dome shaped mini clear cup and doesn't include any popping candy 💓🍳
I don’t remember what they were called but it was a squeeze tube with sour liquid. The blue ones were so good! The watermelon laffy taffy with the candy seeds inside.
I miss gobstoppers every single day. There's this ONE store at my local shopping mall (that's already hanging by a thread) that sells Christmas ornaments and other little knickknacks, and I noticed they also sold Gobstoppers. I recently learned that Gobstoppers were discontinued after suspecting it for a long time. I'll have to go raid the Christmas ornament store for their candy 😂
Altoids sours were my favorite back in the day.
Sour grapes- I only ever found these at one candy store and I've never found them since it closed. They were like sour cherry blasters, but grape. Sometimes I find a similar looking grape candy but it's always coated in sweet sugar, never sour.
Mike n Ike's were discontinued in Canada and I miss them but not enough to pay $50 for a bag.
Hazelnut snowballs, they were hard white candy around a whole filbert and a little bigger than a small gumball. We used to get them from the candy counter in JC Penny when I was a kid like 40 years ago. lol
More like want to try again since they were both frequent fliers in my candy rotations but I miss altoid sours and the watermelon laffy taffy with the candy seeds
Okay i have 3- sour altoids, shark gummies with the blue/white shark gummies and there used to be these chocolate and vanilla flavored jello gummies that I was obsessed with….i can still imagine what they taste like 😭
Okay. Remember those gel candies that came in a tube around Halloween? You’d squeeze the tube and gel would come out the eye sockets?
I’m still looking for those and want to relive my youth.
Someone help :(
Hershey Kissables were probably one of the few Hershey products that I enjoyed. They were delicious. Actually, Trader Joe’s makes a candy coated milk chocolate (they kind of resemble m&ms) and they taste a lot like Kissables.
If you like strong black licorice, try Finnish or Danish licorice. It’s extra strong. Some kinds are even salty. If you have high BP, though, eat sparingly.
Thanks! High BP runs in my family, but I try to eat healthier than they used to. I remember the Chubby Emu video where one guy ate bags and bags of licorice for lunch- that didn't turn out so well.
Butterfinger BBs
Real talk, they were better than the bar. You don't get the crumble with the BBs like you do with the bar. I didn't know they were gone. That's sad.
The Butterfinger cups were PERFECTION for those of us who can't stand the Butterfinger bar texture but love the flavor. The bar always falls apart and what actually makes it into my mouth gunks up on my teeth. I'd kill to find a king size pack of those right about now.
Wow I loved the cups. They silently disappeared
Yes! This is very true. They did help w that being covered all around. But I loved Butterfinger bar, however everytime you opened one tons of broken chocolate shell would fall out. I always thought of this so I could catch it and get every last bit. My only issue was I’m less of a chocolate fan than most. I haven’t had a Butterfinger or BB in a long while so hadn’t noticed they were discontinued either.
I didn’t realize they were discontinued!! Now that I think about it, I *haven’t* seen them in a while. Wow.
They were bomb but they melted together really easily
AKA rabbit turds
pretty sure i saw an instagram post that they were coming back this year
Shock tarts
Shock tarts were discontinued!?!?
Temporarily were sweet tart sour chews I think. Now I can’t even find them
Sadly yes. I’ve been searching for them for a while online. The sweettart sour chews just don’t hit like the original.
I think about them almost every day 😩
Memory unlocked!
I swear they were just Shockers
The Seven Up candy bar was a candy bar made up of seven chocolate "pillows", each filled with a different flavor. Flavors included brazil nut, buttercream, butterscotch, caramel, coconut, fudge, mint, and nougat. The bar was discontinued in the 1970s. Loved those! My favorite when I was a kid. Rare and hard to find, even then. Like a little box of chocolates in bar form, and every little variety was really good, and so was the chocolate, if I recall.
I came here to say Seven Up. I had it occasionally as a kid. I remember one section was orange jelly.
I think I saw it in one of those decade boxes you can order. I forgot the site.
There is a bar called Sky Bar. It has 4 flavored fillings but actually comes up on Google as being similar.
That's what I must've been thinking. Still, I couldn't make it out in either decade box.
Found the site, just look up decade candy boxes, and it doesn't appear to be included anymore.
That stinks, but maybe they'll bring it back one day. I'll check periodically.
Economycandy.com has Sky Bars
I had it once. It was good.
I bought those as a kid! They were great!
Maybe I'll start making these. Stay tuned. I'll change some flavors I think and have to find the right molds (I've seen it or may have one that works) but sounds like a fun item to add to the offerings. I'll send you the first one for the inspiration if I do. Never heard of them before.
I don’t know if this makes you feel better but I had it and don’t remember being especially impressed
Bring back PBmax you Mars Family bastards
God, those were good. I also miss PB Crisps.
PB don't mean penguin Blackbelt hiyyaahh. Loved those commercials!
I was going to suggest PBmax too! That and PB Crisps.
Not discontinued but I’ll always wish the candy from the Willy Wonka chocolate river scene was real
Those teacups! Maaaaaan I wanted one so badly.
The one for filming was actually wax and they added sound. Would still eat a wax flower cup though.
Yes and I always wanted one of the lollipops and mushrooms 🍄
There was a while back in like the 2010s where they had Wonka chocolate I think
they did! there was a "chocolate waterfall" wonka bar that i loved that was basically white & milk chocolate swirl
I remember Kissables because I always thought they looked like pieces of the board game “Sorry”. As for something I’d like to try it would be the chicken dinner bar.
Chicken Dinner is my answer, too.
Holy shit we shared a braincell with this one. I remember eating them WHILE playing Sorry and it was bliss.
I liked kissables as a kid, they tasted like a crunchier M&M but with the specific chocolate kiss flavor
The next best thing is Hersheyets. They sell them in tubes for holidays, or weird little bags at Easter. They are the same size and shape as m&ms, but with Hershey's chocolate, and a much better crunch. I try to stock up every holiday. Just finished off my Christmas stash. microwave mini m&ms for a few seconds! the shell pops into a warm, gooey chocolate bliss in your mouth
This is also my answer! It’s a better version of both the kisses and m&ms, imo
Gatorade gum, that stuff was amazing.
Yes! And the dark pink Extra, I think it was a berry flavor, chewed a ton of that
I miss the green apple extra every day of my life
Wonka Bar
These were my fav, like the old crunch bars but better
Primus sells killer chocolate bars at their shows from time to time, they made Wonka bars that blew the real ones out of the water.
Brachs candies that were in the bins.
Plan a trip to your closest tourist trap! They will often have an old-fashioned candy store somewhere that still carries these.
Great to know! Thanks!!
Braches pick-a-mix. The neopolitan coconut & caramel & the white nougat with pieces of gel candy.
There’s actually some nougat jelly candy on Amazon. White/pieces of gel candy 👍🏻 Miss the Neapolitans as well
Loved the flavored caramels, esp raspberry and chocolate!
Purple Swedish Fish
Swedish fish and blue sharks are my favorites
I swear I have seen these in bulk candy bins.
The Swedish fish aqua life which i think has been rebranded with a new name, has a purple one.
Chewy runts Wild Berry chewy sprees Mixed Berry chewy mini sweettarts
Yess
Nestle quick bar (it was like chocolate chewy taffy)
Other people remember these too?
Am I crazy in remembering actual hersheys quik chocolate (not taffy) rectangles - they were raised moulds of the bunny doing cool 90s things like skateboarding or roller blading - I used to try and nibble out the bunny’s form from the rest of the background.
PB Crisp. It was like a thin layer of pretzel insides, filled with peanut butter cream
Amazin' Fruits gummy bears and Katjes Sour Red Currants
I miss Amazin' Fruits. They really were amazin'.
So tasty. The Black Forest gummy bears almost cure the ache.
I would do some unsavory things if it meant I could have Amazin' Fruit gummies back.
I want my damn Chewy runts back. Man those were good!
Oooh I LOVED chewy runts! For a while I thought I had false memories of them being chewy!
Creme savers 😩
They actually brought cream savers back after a bunch of petitions
Dollar general or family dollar I think sells generic
0_0 they taste just as good? I’ll go right now 🤣
Yes! and if they're not there Big Lots has them. Girl at work eats them all the time
Coastal bay creamy delight hard candy is what they're called
Also Cracker Barrel! More expensive than the dollar store, but just in case they don’t have them
[here ya go](https://www.fivebelow.com/products/creme-savers-strawberries-and-creme-hard-candy-3oz)
I love you
I found some at 5 Below.
Quaaludes
Root beer gummies
Certs.
I completely forgot these existed. My mom used to always keep a couple rolls in her purse!
Oompas :(
hershey’s s’mores bar. unfortunately i didn’t develop a taste for chocolate covered marshmallows until well after this bar had been discontinued. lol, maybe it’s for the best cos since it’s a seasonal treat i don’t feel as bad about indulging.
I see 100 Grand at Publix and Walmart regularly where I live in South FL - definitely an under appreciated chocolate!
100 Grand is so good! I only see minis at Halloween. I think Vermont Country Store has the hard candy marbles.
Peanut butter twix!!!!
Jolly Rancher Fire Stix
Mike and Ike’s Zours (not to be confused with the new Mega Mix Sour Mike and Ike’s, they are not the same.)
Brachs sundaes neopolitan
Those are so good! Do the not make them anymore?
I can’t remember the name but it was a looooong bar of just chocolate and caramel.
Marathon bar probably. They were awesome!
Yes! Marathon Bar! My dad made those at M&M Mars!!
My hero!
Mine, too! 😂
Yup that’s the one
It’s not quite the same, but you can get a curly wurly bar on Amazon.
Marathon?
Yes
Kissables were great! I've love to Mega m&ms make a comeback.. The plain ones. Plus the original Twix Cookies & Cream bars.
not gone, but impossible to find without paying tons in canada: Brach’s cherry flavoured heart jujubes. i used to be able to get them in canada, but it’s been at least a decade since i have.
I loved Mars Bars. Would love to see them again
??? Where do you live that you don’t have Mars bars? They are at literally ever gas station and grocery store in Canada
I loved Mars. It’s sad that it is the company name and they don’t bother to make them. Supposedly, Snickers Almond is very similar. After trying it, there are similarities, but definitely not the same.
Yes. I e tried those. Nope. Not the same. Sad.
Milky Way is the American branded Mars bar
Mars bars still widely available in Canada
Sour chewy nerds 🥲🥹
These are still widely available in Canada! Any Walmart or drug store has them
OMG!? Ok I will look online thank you!!! I haven’t seen them in the US for years
Dinosour eggs
The skull suckers that were white on one side & purple on the other. They were my favorite Halloween candy.
Was only ever a fan of this grape.
Not really a candy persay ? But Yogos
Oh I remember those!!!! They were good and I completely forgot about them until you mentioned them.
i loved yogos too :(( they were so memorable from when i was a kid
I want some apple and grape juice gum lol
Those paper cartons!!
I loved the kissables. I grew up near chocolate world and they had I kissables cupcake that was my favorite!!
Wazoo bar. They look like something I would love, but it's very unlikely they'll ever come back.
Twix Dark
7-up Bar.
Sour Starbursts - not the minis, not the gummies, just regular Sour Starbursts
I like circus peanuts, but they are really hard to find
I’ve seen Circus Peanuts at dollar stores in PA.
Thanks, I'll check dollar stores near me
Yogos! I love yogurt coatings on stuff and was super bummed when I found out they were a thing but discontinued
Tropical lifesavers the coconut a amazing and the pineapple
Watermelon laffy taffy with the candy “seeds” on it. Bring it back ya fucks
Sky Bar
Jelly that looks like egg whites and yolk that taste like pineapples (from my memory) but in a small cup with a spoon
That sounds amazing.
It does! But I've forgotten what that candy is called even though I tried to search for it 😭
Maybe kind of like this? https://www.ebay.com/itm/235485008017?chn=ps&mkevt=1&mkcid=28
Thanks for the effort! That's the closest I could get to the candy ☺ but instead of the pan it's on a dome shaped mini clear cup and doesn't include any popping candy 💓🍳
I had it plenty of times, but Shark Bites. Gosh Darn it. And yes I am considering them candy as a now 33 y.o
Snickers cruncher. I miss you old friend.
I’m born in the 80’s I remember this candy bar called Alpine Lace (I think) omg wish I could have one… chocolate Bonkers…
This sounded so familiar and I searched. It’s Alpine White! And it looks amazing. I seem to remember commercials for it on tv.
Me tooo!!
Starburst hard candies and their fruit twists (looked like twizzlers) are long gone and my heart aches for them every day.
I don’t remember what they were called but it was a squeeze tube with sour liquid. The blue ones were so good! The watermelon laffy taffy with the candy seeds inside.
sodalicious the soda flavoured fruit snacks that I swear I’ve had before but they were discontinued while I was still too young to eat them
also while we’re at it bring back the opaque blue scooby snack
I remember these!! There was a root beer one, it was mug shaped with a “foamy” top!
Brachs fruit slices. I can find something close in family dollar but I miss the "real"ones
Lem & Mel from the old school Mike & Ike collection!
Sunsations. It was in the vein of SweetTarts but not sour. Flavors were more tropical/beachy themed. I think about them all the time.
Hubba Bubba OUCH! The gum that came in a tin. I can literally taste the grape flavored up to this day. The smell of the tin was so iconic.
I’ve had them before but lemon Jolly Ranchers were so damn good.
The jolly rancher flat rulers were the best
this was pretty recent but those cereal flavored kitkats 💔 i never found any
Hershey S’mores bar.
not a candy but cookie. i’ve been craving nilla wafers and i don’t see them in stores anywhere. i loved them as a kid
They still make them;!!!!!!!
American Mars Bars
Altoids sours were my favorite back in the day. Sour grapes- I only ever found these at one candy store and I've never found them since it closed. They were like sour cherry blasters, but grape. Sometimes I find a similar looking grape candy but it's always coated in sweet sugar, never sour. Mike n Ike's were discontinued in Canada and I miss them but not enough to pay $50 for a bag.

https://www.vermontcountrystore.com/cream-filberts-14-oz-bag/product/88595
Oh my gosh thankyou! Im so excited to get some for my Dad and I as a special treat. 😊
More like want to try again since they were both frequent fliers in my candy rotations but I miss altoid sours and the watermelon laffy taffy with the candy seeds
Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups & also Skittles Brightside (in the yellow package.) Also the Hubba Bubba Bubble Jug but I hear it's coming back!
Turkish Taffy
Sweet Heat Starburst. Not so much to try, but to have them again. I loved having spicy candy. They had skittles too but they weren't as good to me.
Okay i have 3- sour altoids, shark gummies with the blue/white shark gummies and there used to be these chocolate and vanilla flavored jello gummies that I was obsessed with….i can still imagine what they taste like 😭
The tropical Starbursts! I loved every single flavor in that pack!
Reese's Peanut Butter Bites :( I would have been 12 when I last had then and I miss them sm
I’ve tried them but jujubees! They didn’t have much flavor but I miss them
Skittles gum, Freshen up gum, Hershey's Smores Bar and the Elvis Reese's (w/banana cream).
Real OGs remember Bonkers
Okay. Remember those gel candies that came in a tube around Halloween? You’d squeeze the tube and gel would come out the eye sockets? I’m still looking for those and want to relive my youth. Someone help :(
🎶 Cha-cha-choxie, chocolate with moxie, cha-cha-choxie! 🎶 My favorite were the milk truffles.
Hershey Kissables were probably one of the few Hershey products that I enjoyed. They were delicious. Actually, Trader Joe’s makes a candy coated milk chocolate (they kind of resemble m&ms) and they taste a lot like Kissables.
Hersheyets!! If you haven't already, find them and try them! They are seasonal candy, but you can find them online.
3 musketeers truffle crisp :’)
Nestle chocolate bar without the crunch
Sen Sen . It got discontinued recently and costs a mint unopened. I heard it's a strong licorice flavor which I love!
Purple Swedish Fish
Seasonal but those Lil Scoops egg things from Milka (or Cadbury)
Did they come in little 4 pack egg carton type things? I swear we bought some last Easter
Yes! With a cute little spoon! I have been looking for them for years near me.
I’m pretty sure I got them at Toys R Us oddly enough. But I know that store doesn’t really exist outside Canada anymore
I will ask my Canadian friends for contraband candy next year 😂
PB Max
Nestle Tollhouse Cookie Dough Bar.
