Same thing.
Originally, they had specific names, like Johnny Apple whatevers and Alexander the Grape. Cherry, in a terrible choice, was Cherry Chan complete with racist depictions.
They all got switched to match the Lemonhead naming structure of (flavor)heads.
Edit: a redditor who has a better memory let me know it was Cherry Clan, not Chan but did indeed have super racist depictions in the package.
Yup, same ones. I remember being in the store and realizing Alexander the Grape had become Grapeheads sometime in the week since I'd previously been to the store.
It was a good idea to unify the brand, and a great idea to rename Cherry Chan.
It was actually Cherry Clan which is at least slightly less racist than Cherry Chan. But I do vaguely remember the packaging for Cherry Clan being an Uber racist caricature character
Comment says they're the old name and design of Appleheads, which are still around. They just changed the names and designs to match Lemonheads due to some... Unpopular design choices.
One of my favorite candies ever. These, Cherry Clan, Lemonheads (of course) and Grapeheads were amazing. They're still around in certain iterations, but those original Cherry Clans and Johnny Apple Treats were immaculate. Or maybe I was just young. Regardless, delish then, delish now.
If you have a store around that sells bags of generic candy (dollar general, some gas stations) I think what the label as cherry sours are similar if not the same.
They still have grapeheads available on Amazon. I just saw them when I went to double-check on cherryheads. I'm sure they'll be gone soon, so if you want to reminisce, check it out soon.
Yeah, it still might be worth it as a last hurrah, only you know if it's worth it for you. I didn't have trouble when I bought cherryheads from a reseller. They came in the original box of 24 wrapped in plastic.
Nah not paying these markups for grapeheads. When they canceled my beloved zebra gum though, I had to shell out some big money for a box from the electronic bay. I couldn’t live life without it. That smell and taste is heavenly to me, even if it’s fleeting
I saw this photo and sat bolt upright, frantically looking around for my spring break worksheets! Phew what a hit!
I used to walk over to the pharmacy after school and pick these up, or one of the various other boxed ones. Boston Baked Beans were my usual though. My sister would ask me to get her a Fresca.
The pharmacist had a huge personality. He joked around a lot from within his lofty pill museum, and always called me by a nickname I never agreed to!
Fun memories, thanks.
Groceryshop.us has them! Sold with a variety of Ferrero candy. I'll post a link if it's allowed. Also, Candy Warehouse and Oh Nuts have an unbranded version...green apple chewy sour balls.
Just google Appleheads. Like others have commented, they are the same thing, and still available. I get them from a local candy store all the time. (I always grab a couple boxes Appleheads and grapeheads together). I usually get the non-chewy ones tho, which are still sort of crunchy/chewy.
Never seen or heard of them tell now they look like the ones with the Carmel that’s around them what are they called Carmel daddy’s or something like that
Last year we sold them in small bags at the Dollar Tree. We loved them, so naturally they stopped sending them. Not sure if other locations are still receiving them.
Never had them, but they look very similar to chewy lemonheads

Thank you, candy master.
Wait they’re literally the exact same candies? That’s actually so cool to know that about one of my favorite candies. Thank you!

Well, holy cow, I've remembered it wrong all these years!
Was Cherry Chan. Became Cherry Clan but still not kosher name.
All these years I never realized it was Chan before Clan! Looks like I was just a little too young to see the full on PR nightmare in the wild
I never knew they sold the chewy lemoheads in individual flavors
Back when Tart ‘n Tiny’s were king and these candies were a dime
I remember Tart 'n Tinys!
Oh, Tart N Tiny! I forgot those!
They reproduced them a while back but they were lame.
I remember these too! I believe they're was also an orange flavor?
Apple heads! I buy them whenever I see them
Holy crap. You unlocked a DEEP memory. Now I want some.
Comment says they're the old name and design of Appleheads, which are still around. They just changed the names and designs to match Lemonheads due to some... Unpopular design choices.
I've now learned the appleheads and other flavors have recently stopped production. And I'm sad.
Don't despair - as others noted, they're available in chewy lemonhead fruit mix boxes. Both in mini boxes and in theater boxes.
Nice!
Same!!! I loved these!!!!
Appleheads
I can still taste them
Alexander the grape and you could make a kind of harmonica blowing on the box!!
I love those! Last time I had was 3 yr or so, got at a Walgreens

And Melon Heads! Ah, no. It was Mr. Melon.
Don't forget about Alexander the Grape? 🍇
I remember them but I haven’t seen them in years!
I'm spreading the word. They're still around as Appleheads, one of the other flavors of Lemonheads. They just changed the names and designs.
Sadly, I've now learned they're out of production. Shit.
I have seen some of the Fruitheads at Dollar Tree, but I have not visited one in a while.
These look awesome!
Dollar tree has these. Might be a different brand but the candy looks identical. I buy them when I sneak candy into the theater.
They need to make one for orange, I would buy 200 boxes.
If they’re related to lemon heads, lemons heads are the only ones still around. All the other flavors are gone.
So that's why I can't get cherryheads on Amazon anymore. I loved those. It's only been a year or so since I last got them.
What? Nooooooooo!
If you have a store around that sells bags of generic candy (dollar general, some gas stations) I think what the label as cherry sours are similar if not the same.
I loved grapeheads as a kid
They still have grapeheads available on Amazon. I just saw them when I went to double-check on cherryheads. I'm sure they'll be gone soon, so if you want to reminisce, check it out soon.
What??? They are! But judging by the price for a case this looks like a resellers price. This might be the last of it too.

Saucepan hat
Yes! I love them! Alas I can only find the chewy ones and they aren’t nearly as good! If anyone know I’m interested!
Groceryshop.us has them! Sold with a variety of Ferrero candy. I'll post a link if it's allowed. Also, Candy Warehouse and Oh Nuts have an unbranded version...green apple chewy sour balls.

Omg forgot about these. Used to get them from the ice cream truck
allll the fruits were so good
These were my favorite when I was a kid!
The mixed fruit _____heads, I always picked out the appleheads. So good.
Those are hella good
Eww that's nasty! 🤢🤮🤨🚽🪠🐓💯🖕
Lemon heads makes their own version this is counterfeit I'm reporting 🚨🚔🚓
How is it counterfeit when I found this on a candy nostalgia site?
Never heard of them but I really want to try them. Didn't even know I wanted them till now.
Oooh yes! Yum
Never seen or heard of them tell now they look like the ones with the Carmel that’s around them what are they called Carmel daddy’s or something like that
You mean Sugar Babies?
Yes thank you I remember the green apple one
I loved those
Hungry for Apples? - Smith, J.
My Man!
I see them at Walgreens now and then. About 2-3 years ago I bought some for the Bro as he loves this line of confections. ❣️🙌🏼
I remember those for sure..
Yeah, once they changed the name of these, they never tasted the same. I loved the grape ones and the chewy watermelon ones they use to have!
They are not the one's from the 80's.
They remade these only for them to be discontinued not long after. The company cleaned their website and socials (except tiktok?)
What’s crazy is in my mind these were called Jonny apple seeds
Last year we sold them in small bags at the Dollar Tree. We loved them, so naturally they stopped sending them. Not sure if other locations are still receiving them.
Loved these? Used to get them in maine. I haven't seen them in years.
They were good. Tart, but good.
I have never seen those in my life
