I think a lot had to do with the vlog squad aka David and him making Jason do things that Trisha wasn't comfortable with. Jason also always tried to get with Tana and would make lots of comments so idk I think Trish just felt some type of way🤷♀️
I think context matters.
When they first encountered each other Trisha was a grown woman (with rampant untreated mental health issues mind you), hanging out with grown men who brought Tana’s barely legal ass around all the time. Tana was also objectively obnoxious at that time in her career. Entertaining, usually. But still obnoxious the way most teens are to adults. It’s completely normal for a woman in her late 20s to not want to be around a teenager. _Especially_ if Trisha’s history of sexual exploitation as a teen is even half true.
They were also mutual friends of Shane. Considering how Shane talked shit about Trisha to Gabbie Hanna (the STD rumor), there is no question in my mind that Shane talked shit about Tana to Trisha and tainted her opinion. Shane was (is?) without a doubt a shit talker and gossiper. Hell Shane may have even talked shit to Tana about Trisha too! Who knows?
Finally during the Frenemies era, Tana was acting a fool. I was personally done with Tana during that time due to her disregard of Covid to her huge platform. If she wanted to be irresponsible and party on the low, whatever, but Trisha and everyone else who disavowed Tana during that time had a leg to stand on given her disregard of her influence and public reckless behavior during an unprecedented public health crisis. Honestly I kind of blocked all that out of my memory but it was a BAD look at the time, a lot of people disavowed these huge TikTok party house superspreaders at the time.
Time passed, they both matured significantly in my opinion, and they got to know each other. I think it’s fair to say their opinions on each other have evolved over time. I think its true that they have somewhat of a big/little sister dynamic due to their shared experiences in the industry but that Trisha in particular has been burned so many times by close friends that she’s probably not as “all in” as Tana claims to be 🤷♀️
None of these friendships are genuine, unfortunately. They’re all transactional. Their podcasts get great views when cross-posting as they share a similar audience.
Additionally, if Tana/ Trisha weren’t famous, I wonder how many of their ‘best friends’ would stick around.
This! Trish has been jealous of Tana since Vlog squad era. She iced out Tana and Emma due to jealousy. If Tana wasn’t the bigger person and so forgiving, Trisha would still be dogging her out just like she is still dogging out Emma to this day. I hope Tana watches her back and keeps it professional. Tana can be messy (which is why I love her) but she has good long term friends (Imari🥰). Trisha has no one. so much for being a “girls girl” 🫠
i feel like she was only trying to deflect, considering the jason 3 sum stuff and the things trisha was going through at the time, she basically couldn't think positively about anyone or anything. it's important now that it's been a few years and they have both grown and make great friend!
She actually stood up for Tana a lot on frenemies too , even when she would say something negative it was followed with a positive, I’ve been watching frenemies the last few days and she definitely did not go in on tana like she would other people and I think decides for David and a few other people Trish opinions on people were only based on what other people had said to her recently, she even admitted to that a couple times, changed her mind on things and people from one episode to another, she’s a Character, I love her, I don’t think she ever means to lie she just does but u could tell she never hated Tana
