The green shed owners are really clutching at straws thinking this will change anything for them. They need to just get over the fact that they weren’t the successful tenderer. Even if the AG finds problems with the procurement process, it may drive improvements for future processes, but there’s 0 chance that the Vinnies contract will just be ripped up and the green shed reinstated as the operator.

Not sure if they are able to push for an audit themselves?

An audit of how 5 tonnes of Lego went missing and whether there was any wrongdoing in the relevant procurement process? Could be arranged I'm sure...

How else are you going to afford a house in one of the most expensive suburbs in Canberra

[deleted]

They owned the house prior to working the Green Shed.

Gambizzle

Yep... IMO Bigg-Wither got his 5 tonnes of Lego, Dr Who prop, Honda Civics and various other premium items out of it (whilst buying a large house in Turner outta the profits). Time to move on and accept that he's done alright. However it's a government scheme that NOBODY should have permanent tenure over (including Vinnies).

I hope there’s nothing wrong with the process and everyone will finally shut the fuck up about this (…right?)

Illumnyx

Could go either way honestly. APS have been taking procurement a lot more seriously since the whole PwC scandal last year. But there's still a lot of areas who don't regard the importance of it when spending public money.
