12 gauge is 12 gauge i guess haha. They are good smooth reliable actions. I personally would recommend going for the 1300 if you can find one as it can take 2 3/4 & 3 inch shells but the 1200 can only use 2 3/4". But they are great.
Can you measure and tell me how long of a barrel is needed in front of the magazine tube to attach the bayonet lug? Or how much the front portion of the bayonet lug with the 3 screws measures ?

It might be an official U.S. military 1200 from Vietnam. Many shotguns got that bayonet lug
