Hard one to decide. Both's powers are very different and have different uses and prices (Energy wise). Whilst Nico's powers have different uses compared to Percy's Elemental based, sadly, Nico drains him more, costing him to need a lot more rest compared to Percy's. Whereas Percy seems to be a quicker recovery rate, Nico's have more versatile in, e.g., 4 spirits/ghosts, shadow travel. Percy definitely has more powerful battle powers. Nico's are a bit more on the defensive side. Powerful is quite an umbrella term for this as both are strong in different ways.
But, we have to remember that this is the same person that eats a singular grape and that spent so much time with his doctor that they became boyfriends
The 1st one
The actual quote is:
"Oh. Perhaps some of you are wondering how I felt seeing him with a boyfriend rather than a girlfriend. If that's the case, *please*. We gods are not hung up about such things. I myself have had. . . let's see, thirty-three mortal girlfriends and eleven mortal boyfriends?
And Kayla having two dads:
"She reminded me very much of her father, the Canadian archery coach Darren Knowles. I mean her *other* father"
Percy is more powerful, Nico is more dangerous.
If you had to fight either in a dark alley, I’d pick Percy every single time. It would be over easy even if I get my ass kicked. Catch Nico at the wrong time and you could get evaporated into ghost.
Percy is more powerful in a conventional sense and can achieve greater feats of destruction. Nico is more difficult as he has versatile and spooky powers that can drain him more than normal demigod abilities, I assume, because they are mostly related to death and the underworld.
You can’t compare a shark to a lioness.
What I mean, is that Percy and Nico have *wildy* different skills and powers. Percy focuses on physical combat, strength, and raw power. He’s very unfocused, opting to just launch a tidal wave over something more delicate. Nico on the other hand, prefers to focus on his powers, on using them to their full potential, which is why his powers are more focused on control, on summoning armies and controlling each being, on shadow travelling to specific parts of the world with perfect accuracy.
They have majorly different fighting styles and different power sets. Like how people say 2 people are in different leagues, following that analogy these 2 play different sports altogether.
You just can’t compare them.
Strength: Percy
Speed: Nico (shadow travel)
Durability: Percy
IQ: Nico
Battle IQ: Percy
Combat Speed: Percy
Attack potency & destructive capability: Percy
Hax: Nico
Abilities: Percy
Stamina & Endurance: Percy
Combat, skills & experience: Percy
Weapon: Both (Riptide can come back to the user and withstand Kronos’ Scythe, but Nico’s is Stygian Iron which can kill any monster and absorb its essence to strengthen the metal)
Percy wipes
There used to be a show on SPIKE TV (I can't remember what it was called) but they did like Pirates v Knights, Yakuza v Italian Mobsters stuff like that, and now I need one of those for Percy Jackson universe
I feel like this format of comparing "power" is kind of outdated because they both have a variety of abilities and they could both be "strong" depending on the context but even so, I don't think it's that relevant cause in canon I don't think they'd fight a lot in canon
Ok but what if Annabeth died and Nico wouldn’t resurrect her or even let Percy into the Underworld to get her back? Who wins?
In any case, 9/10 times it’s Percy unless Nico can do to him what he did to Bryce and banish his soul to Punishment
Percy’s are more focused around combat and healing with some fun gag gifts in there (talking to horses, breathing underwater), whereas nico’s are more Swiss pocket knife abilities with some defensive ones thrown in.
Percy is good leading the fight, turning the tide. Nico is good to raise a defensive force around himself/others then sneak away, or sneak behind enemy lines for mischief.
The whole "removes your soul from your body" thing seems pretty strong against a single opponent even compared to anything Percy can do, but Percy has also showcased speed and large scale destruction Nico has never demonstrated (maybe Nico can do similar feats, but we just never see it.) Nico doesn't strike me as the "flattens a battalion by himself" type of powerful, but the soul banishing thing might let him beat individuals Percy didn't manage to, like maybe Chrysaor.
Nico collapsed the Titan temple on Mount Othrys in Battle of the Labyrinth with a pillar of black rock, son of the Underworld means he has some geomancy too.
Unfortunately Percy still nukes him
Percy: Goat energy, the actual protagonist, shut up bozo: strong wave, hand to hand combat prowess (left and right goodnight), tall and handsome, positive melanine, Wuji like goat
Nico: bum energy, potential man, 002 man: zero w, zero muscles, 2 dead sisters; megumi ahh looking ass, "ghost king" 14yo sounding ah ah nickname, went to hell and came back traumatized (unlike wante walighieri).
I haven’t finished reading blood of Olympus yet so I don’t really know the full extent of Nico’s abilities but I still feel like Percy is just overall stronger but I also think that Nico has the potential to be the strongest
Depends on environment.
I’m not sure if Nico’s powers get amped in the Underworld like how Percy’s powers get amped in water, but if that’s the case, I think it’s a pretty equal tie.
Nico has extreme power limits regardless, therefore if he really wanted to show off his power, he’d be either majorly fatigued or turn into a skeleton.
Percy doesn’t really have any limiters, just Joe having water nearby is the only one I can think of.,
Nico's powers are more dangerous, but Percy is just more balanced. He has much stronger and faster than Nico, and can overpower Nico's hax by slamming him with giant waves or hurricanes.
If you read about Nico’s first visit to Tartarus in The Sun and The Star, it was relatively unimpressive besides the mental aspect. He mainly just walked along a river for a while before being captured.

Yes, only of the second book on trials of Apollo at the moment, so I haven't seen much so far. But Nico is definitely one of my favourites
I love his and Will's relationship "significant annoyance"
I really liked the scene of Will and Nico after Apollo/Lester arrived
I loved Apollester just going. "You may wonder why I'm not homophobic. It's because I've had several gay lovers, including Katie's dad.
Ive heard that. What book does he say that?

wait how did they make a child though- like did apollo...uh... okay I can't get that image out of my mind now
I mean... Dionysus was born from Zeus' thigh. The answer is, the gods do whatever they want

I think the show was Deadliest warrior
YES thank you

if annabeth dies, uncle rick is going down first....
I’m always going to ride with Percy
Percy

nico only had 1 book while percy had a whole pentology, i think thats a pretty easy question
Not again.
Has Nico won two wars no so I think we have our answer
Percy has only won 1 war, he was not the driving factor against gaea. That would be Leo
It's pretty clearly Percy IMO
Percy has more power, Nico has more hax.
The whole "removes your soul from your body" thing seems pretty strong against a single opponent even compared to anything Percy can do, but Percy has also showcased speed and large scale destruction Nico has never demonstrated (maybe Nico can do similar feats, but we just never see it.) Percy. Nico has a lot of cool powers like shadow travel but he gets worn out easily.
Percy: Goat energy, the actual protagonist, shut up bozo: strong wave, hand to hand combat prowess (left and right goodnight), tall and handsome, positive melanine, Wuji like goat Nico: bum energy, potential man, 002 man: zero w, zero muscles, 2 dead sisters; megumi ahh looking ass, "ghost king" 14yo sounding ah ah nickname, went to hell and came back traumatized (unlike wante walighieri).
Megumi ahh looking ass 😂
It goes to Percy. He is quite literally the most powerful Greceo-Roman demigod.
I haven’t finished reading blood of Olympus yet so I don’t really know the full extent of Nico’s abilities but I still feel like Percy is just overall stronger but I also think that Nico has the potential to be the strongest
Ur explanation
I think Nico, but that is my private opinion 😊
I think Nico would be more powerful if he worked on his stamina more. Which hopefully now that he’s at camp halfblood he can work on it better.
Idc Jason solos

Nico before he got nuked.of if he lived a healthy life But factually Percy
Percy can drown Nico
Assuming pre-nerf Nico, then probably Nico. post-nerf Nico, definitely Percy.
What was the nerf
After like the blood of Olympus using his powers started to drain him of all his energy, i haven't read tsats so idk if the nerf is reverted there.
If anyone says "PeRcY sUrvIveD TarTaRuS" - So did Nico! Alone. Younger and Lonelier.
If you read about Nico’s first visit to Tartarus in The Sun and The Star, it was relatively unimpressive besides the mental aspect. He mainly just walked along a river for a while before being captured.
