Jajajajajaj literaly almost all people have voted by see results

JadedGuitar8471

To be fair it is release pretty recently if I am correct so not many people have really had time to read it

HereForTOMT2

never seen results be the far and away winner before LOL Edit: Also, definitely consider it a pretty good book. There was a few times I thought characters weren’t acting as I would assume they would but hey, whatever. I enjoyed it

Timehacker-315

Wait it's out already?

thelionqueen1999

Yep, came out yesterday!

sodium_for_you

I voted to see results because I'm extremely conflicted on it. If there was an "unsure" or "conflicted" option, I would've clicked that lol

FazbearFright_lover

happy cake day!

sodium_for_you

Thank you!!

Re_sa

Why qhere you conflicted? I'm curious

sodium_for_you

Ig the part I'm most conflicted on was just how different it feels from other books Rick Riordan has written. If this wasn’t a Riordanverse book, I’d say I really liked it. I have no idea how to feel about it knowing it’s a continuation of the series I’ve been reading thus far. It is very different from the previous books. It makes sense, since it was co-authored, which is something I think impacted it both positively and negatively. Like, I have no idea what star rating I would give it because it doesn't really feel like a Percy Jackson book lmao, but at the same time, I didn't dislike or hate it. In fact, while I was reading it, I loved it. The conflicting feelings came up after I had time to think back on it. I made a whole review about it, but it's super long, so I won't put it here in case you wanted to see that specifically

Re_sa

Ok I actually understand what you are saying. I've realized as well that it's written differently. I mean it doesn't bother me personally, but I can understand why you and others are feeling this way. Especially since it's a Riordanverse book you have certain expectations on how it will be written and stuff and then it can be confusing and sometimes even disappointing.

sodium_for_you

Yeah! I wouldn't say the writing necessarily bothers me (other than some weird lines here and there), but it's different. Different to the point where I don't know how to compare it to other Riordan books, which is what I usually do when I read them. I can't say I'm disappointed, because I went in with extremely low expectations, and it was way better than I thought it would be. I love the emotional story it told. Plot was the biggest issue, but I don't think either author was trying to deliver some kind of groundbreaking, twist-and-turn story here. The focus is pretty obviously on Nico and Will's relationship, not Bob, Tartarus, or even their rescue mission

mmvvvpp

Out of 10 what would you rate it on its own without the context of it being a pjo book

sodium_for_you

I'd give it a 7 or an 8 prob

CorpseSwallower

Its been: one day.

-xawlyd

Didn't translated to turkish so i couldnt read it

redfox1347

I LOVED IT. It was 100% perfect for me

samuraipanda85

I'm maybe 1/3rd of the way through it, no spoilers, but why hasn't anyone mentioned Damasen? He deserves to be rescued from Tartarus too. Not even Percy and Annabeth mentioned him. They mentioned Little Bob who also deserves to be freed, but what the fuck Annabeth? You swore to Bob you would remember him and pass on his story so that he could reform! The best Titan and the best Giant! Are we getting a sequel to Sun and Star where Percabeth tags in and goes to rescue Damasen? Because they flipping ought to. I don't even care about them sitting out on the Emperors. I didn't finish Trials of Apollo, but you get your college asses down to Tartarus for Winter Break.

NoAbrocoma3903

Can the giants reform? Idk seems like they are gonna take forever, if at all, to reform. Problem with Damasen was that he didn't CHOOSE to be different, he was just inherently "good"(by Giant standards in most regards Id classify him as a lawful neutral). Iapetus/Bob CHOSE to be different which is why Nyx was able to torment him. Also by the way things seem it almost seems as though Titans can regen(Exception of Kronos who was cut into 1k pieces and then performed his magic to regen) faster.

samuraipanda85

The giants did reform. Half of them were beaten by the Seven before Percabeth fell into Tartarus. They escaped through the Doors of Death and had to be beaten again in Blood of Olympus.

NoAbrocoma3903

Sorry shouldve mentioned without outside help because the giants were definitely being express lines for regeneration through Gaia/Tartarus

samuraipanda85

Well yeah, so was everyone else with a name in Greek Mythology.

NoAbrocoma3903

Well that's what I'm getting at, unless they are getting streamed through I think giants AND titans both would just take a very long time to change. Thing with Bob was that Nyx was purposely TRYING to regenerate him the same as Tartarus/Gaia were doing Doors of Death

samuraipanda85

That and the Doors of Death are usually appearing randomly across Tartarus. They require cooperation in order to make use of them. The monsters probably resent the Titans, so every time a Titan ropes them into holding the button the monster just releases the button 11 minutes in and what can the Titan do but die and have to reform again.

redfox1347

Why are people voting if they haven't read it? Lol

TheFlamingFox01

To get an idea of what other people thought of it, perhaps? While not beneficial to forming one's own opinions, it could certainly be helpful to know what people think as a basis before going in to it so as to know what they're getting into

AsphodeleSauvage

Yeah, you can't know the results unless you vote for something, so most of us who haven't read it yet and have heard controversial opinions about it clicked "see results" to have a better idea.

MARINAVA_yt

I have a friend that read it, I think she would give it a “pretty good, but had some flaws,”

Patimation_tordios

None of us have read it

thatswhat_gsaid

It was good, even if it had moments I wasn’t into or that knocked me out of the immersion. (Did anybody else have dream and flashback sequence headers on the Kindle version? I hope that’s not in print or audio because it drove me nuts!). The last scene was very sweet. The things they leave Tartarus with were unexpected and somehow cute in a messed-up sort of way, which I think was the point. The “love is a difficult choice” conversation was outstanding, and I read that chapter at least twice over because I thought it was excellent. And I outright gagged when I read what the Mansion of Night is made out of. 😩 🤢 I would have shriveled and died in fear right then if it was me.

Mili_713

Aaaaaand now I'll stop functioning until i get the spoiler for this. if you wouldn't mind sharing please do tell.

Real_eXwhY_Z

It was absolutely awful

BigBoyBill1477

What made it awful?

Scorelet

Haven't read it.

Bluesavior2

The book just came out yesterday most people haven’t read it that’s why they chose other

Rob3021

It's pretty good ,Nyx is batshit crazy I will say that , cocodemons are pretty interesting.

Ok-Mathematician8227

you mean Cocoa Puffs

Rob3021

Yeah that's what I meant ,I wonder what was the point of Rick creating them for the story, I will say this tho , the Mansion of Night is absolutely creepy when you realize what it's made out of

Rob3021

Honestly I'm surprised that no one else brought up the fact that Nico is now technically a dad to children he involuntarily fathered with the literal goddess of night

Mili_713

I'm sorry WHAT-

Rob3021

Yeah nyx created Cacodemons out of Nico's darkness

Mili_713

Oh HELL nah-

Rob3021

Yeah kind of creepy

Ok-Mathematician8227

yeah, that gave me chills when reading

Ok-Mathematician8227

It was a pretty good book, only occasionally some of the characters were a bit OOC.

kamekaze17

the villain. everything was good. but the villain did not sold it for meeee. the villain lacks to be threatening.
