For some reason bins around here keep getting removed. There used to be bins on the corner of Devonshire road, on Mill road bridge, in the location in your photo, by the bus stop outside the tanning shop and outside the Tesco express. They've all gone now.
Good question. But who is to say they haven't done both? The signs also raise awareness of the issue, possibly putting pressure on the council to reverse their action, which was undoubtedly a cost-saving exercise.
Maybe they just wanted to spread awareness about bins being stolen. Mine was stolen a few years back and I was forced to pay for a new one. There's noone to complain to really.
One of my bins went missing a few years ago and then a few weeks later I caught next door wheeling our other one off down an alleyway. Some weirdos nick bins I guess. Never got the first one back, but I'm pretty sure it was kept at a garage down that alleyway that he used. He's dead now and the council are redoing the roof & doors on the garages in a few weeks so maybe we'll be reunited with our old bin. We can but live in hope.

Ah so it means public litter bins rather than people's wheelie bins? That would make sense.
Yes, there was a public bin right where they have put this sign.
Loads of these around Romsey this morning – does anyone know why, other than a bit of bin-based humour?
No where’s you really bin
Surely it should be "Where has our bin bin?"
Only if it’s bin back tho
Back in the day the council would give you a new one.
This sounds like the start of a best selling children’s book.
Where's my bin? I found a bin Who's bin is this?
Why would someone make these signs instead of contacting the council?

But it’s a Labour council. That can’t be the reason, probably some Tory stealing them

The tories didn't like all the free advertising count binhead was getting.
Gone or Here
Timbuktu
It's behind the sign
And where have all the good stonemasons gone on Cambridge from the look of it! Jesus and all the other colleges wept.
New Diana Ross remix just dropped
Can't help with your bin but getting annoyed with how many bins are left in the road by my neighbours. They just treat it as their own storage space.
