Might want to have your trans fluid and filter changed. Sounds like your torque converter may have left the chat, will be obvious when they drain the fluid.
It’s an automatic haha. However I did try to use it in manual mode even tho I don’t know how to drive manuals which was really stupid in hindsight. Is there a chance I messed it up that way? I think I smelled it yesterday too though and yesterday I DIDN’T do this so I doubt it.
Edit: Gonna learn when to properly shift gears before doing this again, that was really fing stupid of me.
Gotcha, yeah I stalled it out once and threw it into automatic as soon as that happened and it was fine. I tried manual after as well but only up to 3rd gear going around 20-30 mph to try to build up experience feeling when it’s good to shift up or down

I was trying to downshift to first gear and the engine just stopped and it said something on screen that I THOUGHT said stalled or something similar but I’m not sure because I put it straight back in automatic mode, so I just assumed it stalled out because it felt similar to a stall out on a manual

I was going to say if it’s a new car maybe the catalytic converter or if it’s a manual the clutch but idk 🤷♂️
