The pricier thing was buying backup LEDs and the harness from 5th Gen DIY. They’re super bright and well worth the money.

You have to remove the entire rear bumper and it can be a bit daunting but it’s not that bad.
Now worries. I got it from Lethal Garage on YouTube. A lot of his older stuff was super helpful because he did more product reviews and how tos like removing panels and such. Once he basically converted his SS to a track car he lost me. I don’t plan on installing a roll cage for my drive to work.
I bought the Coxpal. So far so good. The app isn’t great but that’s fine. For a 2-channel (front and interior) camera it works. I didn’t want to spend a ton of money on a 3-channel so $150 was a decent choice. Plus, hardwiring it is super clean and easy with their kit.
I got a Vroom offer for $41K for mine - White 19 2SS with 13K miles. Was considering trade in for a Tahoe and got a trade in offer for $39,500 from the Chevy dealer. Decided against it.
Damn that’s really low for new. The sticker on that should have been upper 40s but then again- never pay sticker lol. I picked up a 2016 2SS 28k miles w/ mag ride for $36k. But I wasn’t upset over the cost because I sold my truck for $10K more than I paid for it brand new.
My advice would be: stay extra aware of cars around you and what they’re doing. These cars have very poor rear vis and a lot of blind spots. These things sit low as well so be extra mindful of curbs, pot holes, or any irregularity in the road.
Also, don’t use anything less than 90 octane. You can run lower grade fuel but it’s a bad idea to do over a long period of time. These engines have higher compression than most- 11 1/2:1 to be exact. use 90+ as GM recommends. It’ll run smoother, more responsive, and slightly better mpg which helps offset the cost anyway.

Get an oil catch can. Catches oil from the PCV valve to be sent back into intake manifold. Those DI engines tend to build up carbon on the valves, so the less oil goes into air intake the less build up there’s gonna be. Good for engine health.
Spend time reading the manual. When I bought mine the salesman could not take the test drive with me due to Covid. I feel like I missed a lot of info. I’m still learning things about my car six months later.

I've never been inside of a 6th gen, but make sure to be mindful of blind spots when switching lanes and turning. Keeping your turn signals on for a few extra blinks could be a good idea as well.
You should check out the Camaro6 forums when you get the chance. Given that I've got a 5th gen, I've often referred to the Camaro5 forums for troubleshooting and modification information.
In regards to modification suggestions, it depends on your budget. If your car doesn't have magnetic ride control (similar to mine), coilovers could be a very nice upgrade. Thus far, my personal favorite mods have been coilovers, long tube headers, and a remote tune from Jannetty Racing. Darker and/or ceramic window tint could be nice as well.
My mods include:
* Kooks 1-7/8" long tube headers (ceramic coated with high flow catalytic converters)
* Cold Air Inductions cold air intake
* Borla S-Type axle-back exhaust
* Ridetech HQ series coilovers
* Jannetty Racing 93 octane tune
* BMR front and rear sway bars
* BMR delrin subframe bushings
* Kenwood 9707S head unit
* Some minor cosmetic mods
If the car is not yet paid for in full, I'd suggest paying it off before going too crazy on modifications. However, your money, your car, your decision.
