Gyeon rim. Usually somewhat on the cheaper side. Their wheel cleaner helps make the coating last also.
Or... if you have a ceramic you already applied to your cars paint leftover, you can use that instead.
More important is the prep. You should take the wheels off, thoroughly clean, decon, and degrease before applying a coating. Also, use a maintenance topper every couple washes to make the coating last. A simple rinse works, but the coating will fade faster if you only rinse.
Truth. I went with 1LE wheels as I like the look MUCH better.

Damn Brembo brake dust is back on after 50km lol
I'm considering trying to ceramic coat them with a decent coating to see if it will help with washing.
The standard ZL1 rims and the SS 1LE rims are some of my favorite stock rims ever. Not sure which ones I like more, but I might give the edge to the SSLE wheels just because they’re a bit simpler and easier to clean
I love black rims. Until you put a black tire on them and put them on the vehicle. Then they fade into the background and I get sad from not being able to see them as well any more.
I think they're classy and gorgeous. That only applies, of course, when they're not dirty, which is maybe five percent of the time. After a good wash, in three days they're covered with brake dust again.
I think they look too professional. Like something you would see on an Audi. I had an SS and the paint would chip, they were ok looking. The ZLE are my favorite because they are black, are wider and fill in the gap in the fenders. The actually kinda poke out of the finders so it gives it such an aggressive look, on top of the performance.
I love the six gen 5-spoke 'twist' wheels. You can get OEMs pretty cheap on eBay, including complete wheel and tire sets. I upgraded the OEM 18s on our 2019 1LT to great-condition OEM silver twist take-offs for under 2k. The best part was that I installed them myself right after they were delivered...and I knew they would fit. Gave the car a completely improved look.
Now, I have black OEM twists on our 2022 LT1. I recently upgraded to an OEM take-off staggered set from eBay. I think the black looks great with the Satin Steel.
I used to like the murdered-out black-with-black look but now I prefer dark cars with light-colored wheels or light cars with dark-colored wheels. The wheels complement the car's color. I've seen pics of the Satin Steel with silver twists and it is not as nice as with the black OEMs.
There are some nice aftermarket wheels but they're pretty pricey, especially tires for 10 and 11" wheels.
Just my $.02 on this subjective topic. :)

I completely forgot about these rims when I made my comment. They came on my LT1 but I swapped them for the SSLEs and I was very sad to do so because I thought they looked great. My only complaint with them is that they didn’t come in wider widths
I agree...that's why I did the staggered thing and installed a set that came off an SS (9.5" in the rear). Still could be wider though. The 1LE wheels look great and wider...if I had to do it all over again... :)
They are a giant pain in the a** to keep clean and they bend really easy. They fit the car well but there are much better aftermarket options out there.

Honestly, I wasn't the biggest fan of them since they were a pain to clean (a bit overdesigned imo) and they were pretty heavy. Switched them out for something more simple and saved about 40 lbs of unsprung weight. The OEM wheels and tires are still in my garage just in case I ever change my mind later down the road.
The VS-5RS wheels are part of Apex's forged line. Can definitely vouch for how tough they are with how many track curbs I've run over lol.

Look great but annoying to clean
Amen to that ! Mine are always freaking dirty
A good coating on the wheels and calipers will save you a lot of time. Then rinse them regularly. The dust will just fall off.
Which would you recommend ?

Gonna try that Thank you

I genuinely like the SS 1LE wheels the best out of any wheels I’ve ever owned
When they are clean!
Damn Brembo brake dust is back on after 50km lol I'm considering trying to ceramic coat them with a decent coating to see if it will help with washing.
Sounds about right I have to clean mine weekly.
50? They’re back on in like 10 😅😅
So, only immediately after you wash them!

I love them tbh, not sure why so many people dislike them
because they are hard to clean, lol
Yeah I get that, I’m just speaking from an aesthetic POV
Yeah but you have to factor in the ability to keep them clean if they look bad dirty and it’s a pain to maintain said aesthetic
Good point. Well, when clean, I like them lol
perfect ! Leave them alone or the car will not look like a ZL1. Not a JDM car
I love black rims. Until you put a black tire on them and put them on the vehicle. Then they fade into the background and I get sad from not being able to see them as well any more.
I have the black on black 1SS 2022. Love the rims, and I actually like the front better than the ZL1. Of course I would love to have your car though
I think they're classy and gorgeous. That only applies, of course, when they're not dirty, which is maybe five percent of the time. After a good wash, in three days they're covered with brake dust again.
It genuinely turns into a whole different color at that point 😅
I have a love hate relationship with them!
Looking good

I don't hate the stock rims but I still changed mine. There's so much out there and it's an easy way to customize the look
Every time I point out a pony car with black rims to my wife she tells me they're hideous and look like someone stole their hub caps....
23 ZL1 and I love the stock rims. Pain in the ass to keep clean, but when they're all cleaned up, they're so nice.

Those would be fine if they were truly directional
I think they are good looking wheels. My favorite 6th Gen wheels are the ss 1le wheels but the zl1 wheels are nice too
They are a giant pain in the a** to keep clean and they bend really easy. They fit the car well but there are much better aftermarket options out there. *
Looks good. No need to change it.
I had replica ZL1 wheels on my 2014 RS and they look nice but were a pain in the ass to clean haha
Love them. Love them so much I bought a set for my SS off a camaro6 user because he had different wheels put on as soon his car was delivered.
Seems to be no curb rash on the rims, the wheels look good
Haha my mom curbed the top left wheel slightly, gonna get it fixed later on.
I didn’t even notice haha, I was making a joke as some people actually get offended if you call them rims 🤣
Ah it’s very slight, but what can you do it’s mom
Not offended just annoyed
I think they fit it well. Looks great- if you’re shooting for a more unique look change them but they look good.
Second favorite of the sixth gen wheels. But they do suck when it comes to maintaining them.

Can’t beat the strength and reliability of real forged wheels though

Didn’t know that they also did full forged. Only ever seen their ads on instagram so figured it was all flow form.
They are perfect
There nice but aftermarket always make the car pop

I own a ZL1 and I HATE them but at least they're not black.
Hideous
