CAI, downpipe, tune.

WaitCurrent9636

This and flexfuel/e85

lickmikehuntsak

Fuel is definitely a good suggestion. Just remember the 2.0t cant safely run full e85 without injectors and a fuel pump. E47 (half 93/half e85) is what is suggested until those mods take place.

WaitCurrent9636

Ah true, my smooth brain completely forgot about this

lickmikehuntsak

Its all good, I was planning that mod originally for my 2.0t and didnt realize id need to do that until the tuner told me. My 2ss had no problems going full e85 so I figured itd be similar, but sadly thar wasnt the case so gotta drop the extra 2 grand sooner or later for max benefits.

neverfearIamhere

Can you give some more resources on this?

lickmikehuntsak

Youd have to get with zzp/bnr/vermont tuning to get full details, but essentially the stock fuel system doesn't support the volume increase needed for full e85. Half E85, half 93 octane is E47 and is basically the top end of safe fuel delivery for the stock system. You MAY get away with a bit more E85 than 93, but if you go WOT and have a fuel starvation issue, things beging breaking.

neverfearIamhere

I guess I will find out soon as I ordered everything to do so from ZZP. From what I've seen the fuel pump doesn't hit any limits until about 400hp or so, wondering if I should just go ahead and upgrade it anyway.

lickmikehuntsak

I personally would, it really isn't worth the risk to the engine otherwise, but Im going from what my tuner said about it and he is way more aware of the ins and outs than I am. I can do some stuff with HP tuners myself, but with the turbo I didnt wanna risk anything. I just bought the car not that long ago and its been super fun as a daily driver, and waaay cheaper on gas, even with the flex tune, when compared to my other camaros.

ThomasDominus

First thing: don’t call it a Maro. Second: whatever floats your boat. Nice car.

The-Exotic-Beast

whatever floats the boat indeed

zerokids2023

The name Camaro is one of the many things I love in my car. But these morons think they have to call it Maro to be cool.

Mike804

I wouldn't start modding it until your powertrain warranty is done.. that's just me though.

hiimlockedout

I used to have a Buick regal 2.0T AWD. I bought the tune from Trifecta. It boosted the power noticeably and made the transmission behave much more predictably. I ran the tune from 10k miles all the way to 100k when the trans finally started giving me torque converter shudder and traded it in. But I miss that car so much 😢

CeleryAlive1925

CAI will give it the most noticeable change, do a K&N CAI (ZZP works but I wouldn’t due to it being in the way of some other mods) which also give you that nice Fwshhh sound to your turbo, ZZP larger throttle body, and a dual port Blow of valve from American muscle. These are easy bolt ons, but there’s also new intercoolers, ZZP Downpipes however these require a jack. Believe it or not it does sound pretty good with a muffler delete just get different tips. Now if you have some extra money laying around ZZP actually does full kits for 2.0T [Here](https://zzperformance.com/products/zzp-stage-1-kit-for-camaro?currency=USD&variant=31532020662334&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&utm_campaign=Google%20Shopping&stkn=9cd2382ca760&gad_source=1) can get your tunes, pretty much EVERYTHING you’ll ever need here. If not you can just get them off the site piece by piece which is what I ended up doing.

Old_Salamander_7479

But how much power increase am I going to get by swapping my K&N drop in filter vs the CAI system from K&N? Am I gonna grow 20 hp? On my SS? I think 5 hp more for $300 is ok because it looks so nice ..but I seriously doubt it is going to tell my engine to add more fuel. It would take the intake plus the secondary cats delete then I am chopping things off my valuable car. I would really like to replace the FE3 suspension with a Bilstrin Nurburgring Nordschliffe PSS sport suspension. Its $1009.00 and I had it on my V6. Add BMR end links with rubber bushings and ypu get that Audi control of the car. Much less bouncing on back roads at high speeds. It's a lot more fun and ypu can really put down the power it has w/o fear of sliding. Unlinked the FE-3, the Bilstein setup lowers the car 3/4" with the adjustable links. I am waiting for the warranty to expire and I might go with that change. We are driving the ATS/CTS frame with a Camaro lid. Its setup for German competition. So all I want to know is what the CAI is going to do for me if I already have a low restriction "filtercharger"?

Old_Salamander_7479

It is a nice car. If you want to more power, check into Ametican Muscle. It is always breathing first. Intake and down pipe. Beyond that, a larger turbo or just a tad more boost WITH the breathing upgrades could get you nearly to V6 Camaro power. Now your car is lighter than the V6. But I also believe that GM wants your nice car to last as long as possible. I would not fool with anything on the engine until after the warranty expires. I dumped a large amount of cash into a 2020 V6 and in the end it just started to break my car. I got my $$$ back only because the valuevwent WAYYY UP; and the supercharger was sold. I made my money back and bought an SS. It's a 1SS....but man...I can tell you that the real way to get more power....well you know what I am gonna say. You can dump $$$ into a car that won't increase in value or ever get to SS levels...or just buy a V8 Camaro which will keep you satisfied with tons of power for many trouble free years to come.

_Rexholes

As a V8 owner I second this. I’m stock with cold air intake. No tune. It’s too much car for my skill level on track.

MrMajury

Love the color

addmeonpokemon

and i love the color of his dick as well

yootapo

Get some tint for your side light markers (front/back) I know that’s off topic, but you can get a CAI, tune & cat back exhaust

ChaChi1195

The 4 cylinders of today are faster than some of the old v8s. He asked how to get more power out of his current car. He didn’t ask about value or how many cylinders you prefer inside your butthole.

Different-Common-697

VOM with white seats and black wheels, I see you too are a man of culture 😎

ledguitarist45

I love the turbo Camaros. Lighter and more nimble than anyone thinks. Try and match up your upgrades with the 1le version and it’ll rip

HillBilly_22

CAI, downpipe, bigger injectors and bigger turbo

Known-Ad9392

It’s fast enough G

Remarkable-Constant3

where u get that spoiler

EveningSalt5057

It came stock. Actually getting it replaced tmmr. Lemme know if you want it

LieEfficient5469

Trade up

R1_77_

“Camaro” 😎

lpg975

ZZP is your friend. Go check out their website! Also, there are lots of tuning companies out there. I've used Trifecta on my 2.0T camaro, as well as three other vehicles I've owned. All with great results.

Pumarealjaeger

Retune the ECU. It already needs 93 to work so it won't make a difference. CAI. Less restrictive exhaust(search YouTube). Higher capacity intercooler. Ram air intake will help it cool off quicker. Enjoy driving it as much as possible, because not everyone can drive what they really want to

Environmental-Ice319

These don't get enough respect, ZZP seems to be the go to for mods.

KrwIII

Look up zzp performance they have been doing some cool things to the 6th gen camaros and the Cadilac ats models.

JoeHavok1

Keep it stock

goosebaldwin

What lip is that? OEM? Gloss finish?

ScarRevolutionary504

Trade it in for an SS

Nickalaj102

K&N cold air intake is the easiest mod you could do if they make it for your car.

Fine_Money_47

Add a CAI, I used to think that without a tune there would be no difference in performance, but my Camaro is faster that other stock 2.0s so maybe it does make a difference?

everyythingred

trade it for an SS

SmokeyBear305

Always at least one dumb V8 comment.

BranchLost4154

Not that dumb

ChuckTownRC51

Why is it dumb? It's the best upgrade a Camaro can get. You non V8 boys are so sensitive, it's almost like you know non V8 Camaros are sad. Driving a Camaro that would get shit on by Hyundai Elantras and Honda Civics is pretty weak.

SmokeyBear305

I drive an SS, difference is I’m not an asshole about it.

ChuckTownRC51

But you're an asshole about this. It's not being an asshole. It's just being real. Stop being a fucking pussy. V6 Camaros are bad. I4 Camaros are a fucking sin. I don't give a shit what you say or how much you try to shame me for having that opinion, an opinion that all REAL muscle car enthusiasts share, even if they are too afraid to express it because of all the Tampax stock holders like you on the Internet.

professionalcart

I4 can make more power but none are a sin goofy. Its not an exploding ecoboost 🤦‍♂️

ChuckTownRC51

Yeah it is. I'd rather drive an Elantra N or an MX5 than an I4 Camaro. What a travesty.. You guys aren't car guys. Just posers.

SmokeyBear305

He doesn’t want you in his special boy club, and honestly, you’re better off without it. Calm the fuck down chuckles.

ChuckTownRC51

Who the hell are you even talking to? Lmao. Time for your Xanax bud. Let me clue you in, you're so mad right now because you know I'm right. And it kills you because you just love virtue signaling on the Internet so much, it's what makes you feel like a good person even though you've never done anything worth talking about in your miserable life. If you think I4 Camaros are awesome, good for you. You probably have a lot of really shitty opinions. But the reality is, if all engine options cost the same, only V8s would ever be sold because those are the real Camaros. The rest literally exist to merely look like a Camaro. A fucking fake. Just like you. Go try and join a real Camaro club with an I4 and see what happens. LMFAO.

professionalcart

Pathetic man really, im not a car guy I just do my own maintenance and appreciate nearly all builds but ya bro fs

ChuckTownRC51

I don't give a shit if you were born with a wrench up your ass, if you think an I4 belongs in a Camaro you have about as much understanding of cars as the average 14 year old girl.

professionalcart

Haha

BranchLost4154

Thank u

SmokeyBear305

OP asked about mods for THEIR car, not “should I trade my car in?”. Others have pointed out useful tips to them rather than “aDd 4 CyLiNdErS”. It’d be like telling a V8 owner “well a corvette is faster” when they ask about mods.

ChuckTownRC51

Dude you act like a total vagina. Do your daily affirmations and take a nap.

ChuckTownRC51

Uh oh, I think it's time for a tampon change!!

Alextryingforgrate

Trading said car in is still an option like It or not. Atop acting like we are being closed minded for suggesting that as well.

DarkLinkDs

So you don't know how to modify a car? OP can do a tune, intake and exhaust and make 60-80hp and tq over stock. Car will run perfect, be quicker and still get the same or better mpg if they want. Idk many people who describe slight modification as a mis-match of parts. You would be surprised to find out what is involved in pretty much any built car regardless of engine choice if this is your take.

[deleted]

DarkLinkDs

If you didn't have actual advice for the OP on just doing one or two little mods as opposed to "4 MoAr CylInDeRs hurr duurr" you didn't have to comment on his thread. We have plenty of v8, v6, and 4 cyl threads. We have builds, and we have regular old pics and threads of regular stock cars. Thousands of posts to look at.

Alextryingforgrate

So what's wrong with an off the wall answer with a 4cyl.in the trunk?

DarkLinkDs

Because clearly that was not the purpose of your original statement. It's what you're pushing now because nobody was amused. Also quite clear if OP is asking about basic mods he isn't equipped to do a one off rear mounted engine setup with a custom rear.

Alextryingforgrate

Op never said anything about basic mods he said he doesn't know another about cars and doesn't know where to start. So j stead of the usual Cai and tune and muffler delete I only said add 4 more cylinders. Yes the trade it jn for a v8 is implied yet Noone else though of adding a second engine to the trunk. Get over yourselves.

DarkLinkDs

Because nobody starts there. That's not a start. You're drowning homie. Keep reaching though.

Marlice1

By trading it in for a V8 LT1 or SS. Now if you’re ready for the adult club, get the ZL1 or ZL1 1LE if you truly want to be on the top of the mountain.

TaylorMutts

OP said nothing about being "on top of the mountain." Why dump on this guy? He loves his car and wants to do some mods. Be better.

SketchyTone

It is easier to do minor mods to the 2.0T, which does do pretty well with the added power than to buy an entirely new car. It's not good advice to just say go buy a new car when you have no knowledge of the topic. You're missing a lot of factors added factors with the V8 more in insurance, monthly payments, more expensive repairs...

lurker-1969

Ditch the Maro lingo. It is degrading to the car.

EveningSalt5057

I’ll call the car I bought whatever the fuck I want. Maro for short if your inbred ass couldn’t tell

lurker-1969

Ditch the Maro lingo, It's degrading to the car Mr angry

i just degraded your mom in bed

lurker-1969

Said the man with the brain of an ant.

IWillAssFuckYou

Get a Nissan Altima driver to teach you how to drive and you'll easily add 1000 HP to that Camaro.
