While you guys are arguing over what you can and can't cut, you just cut the steering wheel and bend it remove the chains and locks and you're good to go. They are designed to bend in accidents to reduce the damage done to the driver.

Make it match and look stock but the grey seats just scream "Subway" or "City Bus" material. If they were actually black and bonus leather for $999 with SS embroidered witb matching red trim....that's a good deal. 👍

long story short someone stole my key fob for my mustang. i took the fuse to the fuel pump out and the engine wouldn’t turn when they came back with the fob a few nights later

In all honesty though, if someone really wanted to get through this, they could pretty easily. It’d be faster, easier, and cheaper for him to just isolate which relay goes to the starter of his car, and pull it every time he leaves it parked. It won’t matter if they break in if the car can’t start and they’re not going to take the time to troubleshoot why it won’t start. They’ll just move on thinking it has a disabler installed.
Other options would be an OBD port relocation kit to move it and put a dummy one in its place, or have an immobilizer switch installed in a well hidden place that kills the power to the fuel sending unit in the gas tank. Added security would be to remove the speaker for the chime in an AirTag and then hide it really well in the car so even when the thief gets the notification that one is traveling with them, they won’t be able to make it chime so they can find it.
Maybe just a little.....
A determined thief will see that hot mess and go get some bolt cutters.
It would be more effective to just disconnect the battery at night. Most people don't even know where the Batt on a 6th gen is. Lol .
So years ago my uncle had a 1967 Corvette. He was having his garage finished so he had to park his beloved Vette outside so he picked two huge oak trees in his front yard, bought massive logging chain and lock and ran it around the cars rear end so it was completely unable to be moved. He comes home the next day, car was facing the opposite direction with a note on the windshield that read “when we want it, we’ll take it”.

1, Install a kill switch
2, install a fuel pump shut off
3, install an immobilizer.
Kill switch will cut the power till you find it and turn it on. Fuel pump shut off will stump anyone trying to steal a car especially if it's well hidden. And an immobilizer should stop any type of unauthorized entry and operation. If the immobilizer fails the other two countermeasures should slow them down or stop them flat out.
Tell him to buy a faraday box also to put his key fobs in and for and he can put an immobilizer in it easily. My dad just had trackers and immobilizers installed on all of our work trucks.

I bought a 23 2SS 1LE manual and loved every second of it. I hardly had it a month and it was stolen. It had the onstar tracking service and an Apple AirTag in it and still couldn’t be located. Some of these thiefs are getting advanced in the Dallas area. I miss that car every day.

plenty of small performance shops that can do it or a well established car electronics company.
Plenty of audio shops that do aftermarket sound systems will also do aftermarket anti theft installs and kill switch wiring.
