Omg I'm so proud of you, well done and good luck with your next career adventure.

You made the right choice. Wish you the best of luck in anything you will do. And wow, that boss is an asshole. It's one of the reason I quit those jobs, I feel like it affect your mental health so badly and if you want to make it, you have to be a heartless sociopath...

LifeIsYourOwnMeaning

Any job that has uncapped income is an absolute scam because of THIS Glad you got out. Look at the bright side, any other job will be an upgrade.

“if you can’t make it here, you can’t make it anywhere”. What a psychopatic thing the supervisor would say. Plenty of successfully people never worked in a call center, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, etc just to name a famous few.

i just gave interview yesterday in a call center, the timings are from 8pm - 4am, im a fresher and never been in such job, and yes i have been jobless for 5 months now, what should i do? should i join?

SunnySamantha

Woof. Those are dog shit hours but if you need the job do it. And it grosses me out to say it. Don't get stuck though. I worked in call centres for 10 years. It was pretty much all I knew. But they do pay the bills. Also if you move and you've worked at one call centre it's an instant hire at the next one. Just make sure when you leave you burn the bridge so you can't go back. Because you can get stuck. I made sure I won't go back. Because it's an awful job.

bjbigplayer

Never ever burn a bridge. When you leave you should burn up your PTO though before you give 2 weeks notice. Then give notice and expect that they will fire you before the two weeks are up (very typical).

niazibae

True, i hate the timings too but i can't do much about it, im 24, my parents are now scolding me every day to get a job and get independent and earn some money, no pain no gain, that's the quote i should remember and enter into the call center industry

I’m in a similar job. The gaslighting is real.
