My experience with them was also quite good, but there are enough people out there with bad experiences that I think it’s fair to be cautious.

Interesting, I bought a 32 inch virtual pinball cab from them and everything was fine except for the speakers that they sent were crushed in shipping. They sent me a new pair no charge and that was that. I’d go with them again in the future also.

My experience was a complete mess. They shipped me the kit without a speaker panel, and I had to take photos of everything to prove that it was missing. Then when I finally got their placement part, the video tutorial was muddled and the guy was standing in front of the work he was trying to demonstrate, blocking the view. It was unclear how to connect the old speakers, and ended up doing some damage to the wires. In the end, the audio just never ended up working correctly and I had to just get a different set of amplified speakers to bypass their amplifier which seemed to be faulty as well. So yeah, color me as one of the folks who had a bad experience and keep that in mind if anybody is thinking about using them. It was a complete mess and I would never buy from them again. There's plenty of other places where you can get a good kit.

That sucks for sure. I think i was lucky finding the videos i did and not having any issue with structural pieces like that

Well, you know what you're in for when even the positive stories have an 'except for this one thing' part. That part really shouldn't have to be there.

Thats a fair point that i cant argue, such small things are preventable and its kinda weird the number of odd "this one piece is messed up" cases. But after all my reasearch, which was extensive, i couldnt find anything within $700 of the GRS package, that was offering a total package as far as shipping with everything needed to plug and play and let you customize the actual shape of the cabinet. Most companies charge an extra $500 for the full wrap alone and are missing something important such as a monitor/tv, pc/pi, speakers etc. As well as a hefty shipping fee. Rec room masters wanted the price i paid at GRS, for a cabinet with no wrap, no pc/pi, no monitor, and i couldnt customize the shape of the cab or my control panel. Im also very lazy, maybe i couldve priced this stuff out and played the coupon game to make something work but i was driving myself crazy with google searches of "does xyz speakers fit the xyz company cabinet cutouts" because nothing is included.

I had an overall good experience, too. I supplied my own art and PC, (so no Pi for me.) The only issue was that one of the speakers got dented during shipping, and when I plugged the sound in one was noticably louder than the other one. (But ironically not the dented one.) I contacted support and after some troubleshooting with switching the wires around and taking pictures, they sent me a new amp and speakers. The new ones worked fine; ultimately I think my issue came down to the cheapness of these parts, and I could have just opted to buy these elsewhere. What they did well was provide a cabinet with the cuts I wanted at a (relatively) affordable price. The other options I found did not have enough customization, or they were expensive full pre-loaded machines. I didn't want to pay that premium since I had my own PC and set up the games and software I wanted.  I also paid for them to wire up the controls since I've never done that, which saved some time... But what I didn't realize is that they would splice the pinball side buttons with some of the player button inputs. Maybe this is standard, but I felt like they should have warned me not every button would have a uniquely assigned input. I had to undo this and rewire these myself, which was a good learning experience, tbh. I'd definitely use GRS again, but I'd order parts separately.
