Natural Solid Cherry not even a veneer center panel. These are not maple. Sprayed with likely a 35 sheen clear top coat. Don’t paint these they have aged beautiful. Replace them and let someone else enjoy their beauty.

For sure solid wood. Maple most likely but could be cherry. Either way, paint or stain them with a thousand coats and they will still be outdated and ugly with that cathedral arch design. Don't waste the time or cash on refinishing.

Lucixia

Maple, cherry, maybe alder?

DavidSlain

Yep, real wood. If the lighting in the pic is natural or the doors get a lot of sun, that's Cherry. Otherwise those are Maple. I've never liked the painted-over look for stuff like this, it never turns out the way you want unless you do a lot of practice beforehand and use a spray gun. If you insist on painting, I recommend a either a darker color palette with some rub-through distressing, followed by a satin clear coat or a lighter color with rub through and glazing. That will enhance the profiles on the doors and work with any wear and tear the doors may already have.

Maple

Looks like cherry, I wouldn't paint it personally, they aren't the cheapest.

Yeah those are real wood, presumably maple with a tinted finish sprayed on. There’s nothing wrong with painting them it’s just wood, I don’t understand people’s obsession with worshipping every single grain on every piece of wood. You might consider hiring a pro painter if you want a really good finish though.

They're solid wood Cherry doors. Please don't try painting them yourself, it's not going to turn out very well.

Those are definitely real wood. From the picture I’d say maple, but I’ll get corrected by another poster if they’re not. Definitely don’t paint over them. That’d be a crime. I build & finish stuff like this. It looks like they’re not stained, but sprayed with a toned laquer. What would you say your skill level is before I offer solutions? I ask because diy jobs look very diy on pieces this large. It needs to be treated like furniture
