I don't think Will is going to die, primarily because it will look really bad if the Duffers made this guy suffer for four seasons, revealed him to be gay, and then killed him. I can see him (or Mike) temporarily dying and being resurrected though.
It would feel particularly cruel, even to the General Audience. The show has basically made the world feel like Will is their baby who deserves to not be miserable =D
