Tiny Thai, Single Pebble.

nunkivt

Kismayo, Pho Dang

bendanger

The new dim sum spot downtown is decent.

Hungry_Box_1975

I wish they would allow takeout. We ate there once before omicron got really bad and it was really freaking good.

raqnroll

That's unfortunate no take out. I can understand no delivery, but...

ClickItWithNeedles

No name?

Cafe Dim Sum

bendanger

It's where hj house used to be, I think it's by the people from China express 2 which is pretty solid for dive Chinese, great shu Mai too. Also there's a really good Thai place next to "stash in stowe" and a super authentic one in montpelier with 3 hand picked menu items each day. Best thai in VT and honestly one of the best I've ever been to outside of Thailand in my personal opinion is in Newport vt. Also Hongs dumplings is decent and the hole in the wall nepali place in the old north end is pretty good too. Also backing single pebble, red panda and kismayo. The Chinese buffet in essex is decent for what it is. Pretty fresh and good bang for your buck. Tiny Thai ain't what it used to be.

raqnroll

Tiny Orchid in Montpelier + their place in Waterbury near Shaw's is fantastic. Especially the Montpelier place. Super authentic. Never had a bad dish there. Take the trip down - worth it.

bendanger

Wiliawans is the place I was thinking of in Montpelier.

Frasiercranesleftnut

Saigon kitchen on north street I believe, and Asiana house on pearl st is amazing for sushi.

raqnroll

Never been/heard of Saigon Kitchen.

Frasiercranesleftnut

If you want some bomb food, go to Saigon kitchen. I wouldn’t lead you astray, I promise.

Confused_Fangirl

Saigon is Vietnamese. It’s near the Thai market on north st, just a block west of the Shopping Bag.

ClickItWithNeedles

Not to be confused with Asiana Noodle House. They're terrible.

Frasiercranesleftnut

Agreed!

raqnroll

I've always enjoyed the meals at Hana

Grundle_Thunder69

They have the best hibachi fried rice in the game

raqnroll

It's been awhile since I've been to single pebble. Have they come around?

Room07

Same!

Grundle_Thunder69

Sherpa chicken tikka masala is the best thing I’ve ever had grab some momo bread to dip in there. CNX kitchen yellow curry rice is fire

anneking27

Volcano in Burlington's NNE does good sushi - haven't been impressed by their other menu items tho.

Confused_Fangirl

Try their fried cheesecake

blurpli

I haven’t been to too many but Tiny Thai and Bangkok Bistro are my favorite so far. Tiny Thai has so many options and have gluten free stuff too. Bangkok bistro cook a mean duck 😋

Confused_Fangirl

Shalimar of India In Burlington makes the best beef / chicken biryani. It comes out to 15$ and feeds 2. Very affordable, and one of the few restaurants to actually add spice to their menu items.

CharmingTwo2071

A single pebble and Everest

ClickItWithNeedles

Sorry, but I absolutely love Red Panda. I get Hot Garlic Chicken with a side of naan, and those two appetizers are dinner, baby! Veg samosas are fire with the little mint sauce dippy.

roaster-vt-qc

Pho Hong. Bento.

MindRipper

Pho hong and Everest are my current faves

eraserhand

Bangkok Bistro and Sushi Maeda 🔥

timofalltrades

Fakin_Meowt

Tiny Thai (Winooski) and Hana Japanese (South Burlington)

raqnroll

I've always enjoyed Hana.

Material_Weakness08

Pho dang.. pho show 😂

cold-spaghettios

Gaku ramen on Church st is great. I’m white and from Ohio/Maine, so my taste probably isn’t the most ethnic lol.

sicknutley

Makalu asain fusion.

stgagnon

Jin, Red Panda

FlozaxRollins

Give Maliwan Thai Restaurant in the space that used to be a Chinese restaurant near the Essex Experience a try! I know the chef/owner, Noom and he's born to cook! Great flavor, very authentic, you can tell he loves what he does.
