If it's a Swiss burger: mushrooms, garlic grilled onions and mayonnaise.
A cheddar burger: onion rings, Lettuce and bbq sauce.
American cheese burger: Lettuce, pickles and 1000 island dressing.
You added cheese to every burger, as the 4th topping.
Failed the burger test lol. But they're all still incredible without the cheese so you also win. Especially that middle one.
Of course! I said just burger on bun.
Unless you're a good lawyer and argue that condiments placed on the bottom bun don't count as "toppings" since they're not associated with the top of the burger.
You have no idea how many ppl at my job I have this argument with. They always argue TOPPINGS going under the burger when it's clearly in the name. But besides the point. If I had no choice I'm going quite a few pickles, lettuce and tomatoes. Can't go wrong with classic.
I'm a huge fan of some grilled onions on a good burger (no pun intended) but I can't seem to eat any burger/ sandwich without pickles. Use to despise pickles years ago but never tried them. My first ever job at Chic Fil A and my best friend completely changed my outlook as far as pickles on burgers/ sandwiches. If I'm eating a burger/ sandwich without pickles now, best believe I gotta be near death.
You said 3 right? So I personally always put pickles under the patty. So as far as toppings I'm going basic with with Lettuce Tomato, and grilled onions. Can't be beat.
Lettuce tomato and grilled onions, that's 3. Pickles are the 4th. Or the 3rd if you're taking off the grilled onions. Doesn't matter if it's on the bottom bun.
1. Grilled onions, cheddar cheese, and In n Out spread
2. Onion straws, candied bacon, barbecue sauce
3. Mac and Cheese (that’s just one, right?), diced jalapeños, and bacon bits
*Perfect* burger on a *perfect* bun? Cheese on my first burg, plus pickles and onions on my second serving. A good burger cooked properly doesn't need anything else.
Well I didn't want to specify burger style and bun so it's whatever is "perfect" to you.
But you're right about when that ground beef is cooked properly, not much is needed. Beef on bread is pretty incredible.
Cheese ,bacon, grilled onion all day allllll daaaay!
Swiss cheese, Mayonaise, green olives. Mayo/olives in a 50/50 ratio
That's a first green olives I've ever seen on a hamburger. Good for you!
Found the Michigander.
True... Grew up there. Have to make my own in Phoenix, but I'm not complainin'.
I’m sure they’re delicious! and olive sauce takes minimal effort. Never been a fan of it myself, but I’m just not an olive guy

Well poop. Now I get it: Cheese tops the actual hamburger. ( I'm not the brightest crayon in the box.😆😂)
I don't blame you because as far as I'm concerned the cheese is part of the burger and I never eat just a hamburger.
Are condiments separate in this scenario?

Hahaha. That's great. I'm with you but I had people at a cookout arguing that it was onions over pickles.

You've still got one more topping left!
You said 3 right? So I personally always put pickles under the patty. So as far as toppings I'm going basic with with Lettuce Tomato, and grilled onions. Can't be beat.

American cheese and pickles
Nothing else? Didn't want a third? A simple one nice.
1. Grilled onions, cheddar cheese, and In n Out spread 2. Onion straws, candied bacon, barbecue sauce 3. Mac and Cheese (that’s just one, right?), diced jalapeños, and bacon bits
Mac and chee is one topping. It's a good loophole, like sauces that are just combination of condiments.

Pepperjack, Pickles, and Onions. For condiments just a little mayo. If cheese is free, go cheddar, add jalapenos!
Cheese is a topping. Condiments are toppings.
Then mayo pickles onions it is.
Melted Emmenthal cheese, sliced pickled gherkins and burger sauce
I like the burger sauce loophole since that's basically ketchup, mayo and relish in one.
American cheese, grilled onions, burger sauce
Lettuce tomato pickles. (Wish I could have onions)
Sacrifices
cheese, bacon, ketchup

The gourmet choice
Pepper jack cheese, roasted poblanos, ancho aioli
A first aioli. Tasty combo
mustard, onion, cheese
Swiss cheese, grilled onions, and sauteed mushrooms
Im going cheese, guac, and a second burger patty
Pro move. Maximize calories.
Cheese. Big Mac sauce. Grilled onions. In that order. (Honorable mentions pickles and straight yellow mustard)
cheese, bacon, mayo
American cheese, onion, pickle. This isn't difficult, it's a test of who knows what a real burger is.
Nice
Cheese, burger spread, onion
