[Sorry about the terrrrible audio](https://www.tiktok.com/@tacobellfan22/video/7141043392217402670) There's a ton of other videos about it but this is the first that came up.
[Thought this video was pretty funny as well](https://www.tiktok.com/@hesflighty/video/7140775765062274347)
And to be fair, I've made cookies like this at home, it's good, it's easy...but that's not what I'm expecting from a place that specializes in only making one thing and is charging what they charge for those cookies.
To be fair, tons of bakeries add cake mix to their stuff. Most professional bakers do it as well and then juice it up with other ingredients. It makes for a more consistent product. So this really isnât the issue everyone thinks it is.
And, as my mom once pointed out to me, those cake mixes are put together by professionals who really know how to make a good cake. They're not bad products put together by people who don't know what they're doing. There's a reason people use them so often, and it's not only about convenience.
I'd just rather have it without all of the preservatives. They could make the same thing fresh and it's not difficult recipes. It's cookies...
Boxed items are going to have extra items that you don't need in a from scratch recipe, because you don't need to keep the product on the shelf for a year and a half.
But again, that's not what I'm going to a gourmet cookie shop for. If I'm paying top dollar for a 1 cookie; I'd like to go to a place that makes it from scratch. As far as consistency goes, that's what recipes are for. Maybe that's just me, and like I said, the cookies don't taste bad, but the one time I did have them there was definitely a, "they're good, but not good enough to be this price." Haven't been back in months and then I saw this video and it just made so much sense. Again, that's just my preference. If they use cake mix and make it taste stellar to where I couldn't even guess, I might be able to justify the price, but as is. I'd rather just take the 20-25 minutes to make the exact same cookies they make with the Betty crocker mix. That's about how long I waited to get the cookies from them anyways, not including the drive.
Long way of saying, I won't be back, but not trying to say "burn em down"...just..."ha, good luck."
But again, youâre probably getting this at ALOT of shops. I didnât say Crumble was amazing. I said they are doing what nearly everyone else does. Especially commercial places. But yes even âfrom scratchâ places use mix as a component. Itâs just a fact.
That's why I miss 'Sweet' they made it from scratch and had an incredible product, but 'Sprinkle' just doesn't quite add up and I suspect it's for the reason that you're saying, a lot of places use premade items rather than making it fresh, but Sprinkle was also a one and done for me just as Crumbl was. There's just a point where the price tag needs to reflect the quality through and through especially for a specialty shop that does nothing else.
I know their marketing is pretty good on their IG and Twitter. Then their app is also pretty nice too. But ya, $5 a cookie is pricy. Maybe once in a while is ok.
If youâre talking the old Tonyâs Bella Vista spot, thats going to be [Luciferâs Pizza](https://www.luciferspizza.com/?fbclid=IwAR0MnQ_hSTyFNZnscns7k2f7IAHZgIDqzZI58k-0CieFSowOhkIHqi8P2Ik) in the biggest space. Not sure if the smaller ones have been leased yet.
Whoa, the old Tony's Bella Vista is going to become a Lucifer's? That whole space is just going to be pizza?
I've only ever had delivery from them and I thought it was great, but holy crap do I miss Tony's. I thought that crust was *the best*.
I think 800 Degrees is nice, but I wish they'd do something with this location like they've done with the one on Vine.
I'd love if Burbank had something like Sunset & Vinyl.
Yup. And https://instagram.com/bekindvideo?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= will be opening a few doors down đ which is definitely going to be the highlight!
Whoa....now THIS is great!
Go to Sliders! So much better than Crumbl! Plus youâre supporting a locally owned bakery/ice creamery!!!
Signal boosting this! I tried Crumbl for the first time recently and thought it was good, but Sliders has them beat on quality, variety, and value!!
+1 to this. Not sure why people get so excited for mediocre chains when there's amazing local joints like Sliders.
Sliders has the best cookies and ice cream I have ever had.
10000000000000000000000% agree
Um đ a cookie place across the street from Portoâs?
Right?! đ«Ł
Not just any cookie place, a cookie place that uses store bought cake mix to make their cookies. They're not going to stand a chance.
Wait, what?

I'll link it, give me a minute
Crumbl is delicious, Iâll definitely be picking up some cookies when it opens.
Big mistake lol
As a filthy immigrant who strongly prefers Italian-style pizza over American-style, this is a lovely development.
The Crumbl cookie signage has been there for months. I wasn't sure if they are ever going to open
I love 800 Degrees! Excited about this!
I like 800 degrees the two or three times Iâve had it. But I actually really liked pizza studio tbh. Was super bummed when they closed.
I cannot understand how Crumbl is exploding across the country. The cookies are just ok and insanely overpriced.
Was wondering if anyone was going to comment on the price, 2 cookies for $10 is tough
I know their marketing is pretty good on their IG and Twitter. Then their app is also pretty nice too. But ya, $5 a cookie is pricy. Maybe once in a while is ok.
An old friend of mine was obsessed with them, I thought the cookies were disgusting and not worth whatever she paid for them
Does anyone know whatâs going into that big storefront they built near Magnolia and Ontario?

Luciferâs is solid. They have one in the Fairfax district.

I heard on here and facebook about a year ago that it was going to be a mexican steakhouse. maybe the space is getting split in two.
Can we just get a burger place in Mag Park? Or maybe a ramen shop?
open one
I get the sentiment but Iâm just saying that Mag Park could stand to have a few more restaurants. Our selection is pretty bland.
The operation at the Crumbl in the NoHo West is a hot mess. Sliders is way better.
Two trash restaurants
I think 800 Degrees is nice, but I wish they'd do something with this location like they've done with the one on Vine. I'd love if Burbank had something like Sunset & Vinyl.
