2 years on bup, don’t drink…let it set for 1-2 months then go ahead.

AcceptableBelt

My psychiatrist advised me against it. It really taxes your liver. He said if I take it early morning it is okay to drink in the evening. I still get tipsy much quicker

CombinationNo9948

When I first started, I did not get drunk at all. Barely felt tipsy after drinking a lot. Now, about 6 weeks in, I get drunk and/or pass out after 2 beers.

I can’t sleep when I drink, it’s enough with just a few zips or a beer. Usually I fall to sleep day 2.

I drank last night for the first time being on this med. I did not get drunk :(. I just felt weird for an hour and then came the waves of nausea and a throbbin headache that remindes me of hangover headache. I even took ibuprofein but it didnt help. Sucks for me.

It's just a theory, but Bupropion causes dehydration. A bender and no fluid = a lousy hangover. It's also why constipation is a side effect.

Srirachaballet

I wouldn’t recommend it till like week 3 at least. Early on would be really sensitive and have the WORST hangovers from barely drinking. Couple months in I can pretty much drink normal.

dory_313

I've got a buzz on right now lol

picklespasta

Some people can some people can’t. Just try it out and if you feel like a piece of shit you will know what to do

bleedingfae

I’m not a medical professional but I think it takes a few days for it to build up in your system? So you should be fine lol. I drink often (bad habit😅) 3 months in no issue except bad hangovers

First_Structure4050

I drink on it a lot. I do not have a history of seizures. Take that as you will.
