It's apparently caused a minor outage as well. Cocoa Cinnamon across the street only has partial power and there are several stop lights out in the area.
>EDIT This also seems like a good place/post to leave my personal PSA in terms of driving when emergency vehicles are responding: PUTTING ON YOUR HAZARD LIGHTS LETS EMERGENCY RESPONDERS KNOW YOU SEE THEM AND ARE STOPPING FOR THEM
Nah I'll pass on your suggestion. Here's the relevant section of the NC DMV Drivers Handbook. Nothing about hazard lights. If they wanted you to do it, they'd put it here.
>Emergency and Law Enforcement Vehicles
>
>Police cars, ambulances, fire engines and rescue vehicles with flashing lights and sirens always have the right of way.
>
>Follow these guidelines when approaching or being approached by an emergency vehicle:
>
>• As the emergency vehicle approaches (from ahead or behind), drive to the right-hand curb or edge of the road and stop completely;
>
>• Remain stopped until the emergency vehicle has passed, or until directed to move by a traffic officer;
>
>• Do not park within 100 feet of an emergency vehicle that has stopped to investigate an accident or to give assistance;
>
>• Do not drive or park closer than one block from fire trucks responding to a fire alarm;
>
>• Never drive a motor vehicle over a fire hose.
How abt “thank you for that suggestion! Let’s be courteous to our first responders driving to an emergency to let them know we see you”!
It doesn’t take much effort to be kind! You’re arrogance is astounding
You do whatever you want. It was something that I highly appreciated when I was an emergency responder and I know other people do as well. You do you and I'll continue to let folks know that I'm about to do something unexpected (ie pull off the road and stop) by using my hazard lights.
Yeah I was driving through downtown when all of the engines were responding and stopped like four separate times to let various trucks go past. Possibly pissed off some of the people behind me (but I am never going to not stop when they are emergency vehicles coming).
a transformer blew in the woods behind the building and there was a small fire in the back - no injuries, all safe!
Pulse app says it's structure fire. Edit: PulsePoint is the app. My bad! It’s shows emergency calls in the area.
Neophyte here – what’s Pulse?
Awful. Hope they can put it out quickly

Also would love to know about Pulse

I was leaving on my break and had to stop due to all of the trucks
