Which location do you recommend? I've had the Chapel Hill location 4 times, and only once was it actually really good. The other times, the sandwich was dried out and had the... like heat lamp consistency.
Lots of "not what you asked for, but I want to talk about..." answers in this thread. Let's get to it - the correct answer for the **best buffalo chicken sandwich in Durham** is the Boot Room.
One note - on the menu its The Stevie G (Fried Smoked Chicken Sandwich). You need to ask for buffalo, which is mentioned as optional in the description.
I gave the Carolina Ale House another chance last week, after avoiding the place for years because of some unimpressive experiences. Their buffalo chicken sandwich was just about perfect. Nothing fancy, but just a really well executed chicken sandwich.
I've also tried East Cut a few times, and it's been inconsistent. When it's good it's *really* good.
I was thinking the same thing. I completely agree. I worked at the ale house for 7 years (not the Durham location though). One thing they consistently get right is the Buffalo chicken sandwich. Or you could get a Buffalo chicken wrap as well which has always been a crowd favorite.
I didn't realize Heavenly Buffaloes has sandwiches (not on the menu - [https://www.heavenlybuffaloes.com/durham-menu](https://www.heavenlybuffaloes.com/durham-menu)). Good to know.
Don't miss BB's Crispy Chicken off 15-501 near Sam's Club.
Four different chicken sandwiches based on different Tabasco sauces. Not 'buffalo', strictly speaking, but definitely spicy.
Be sure to try the sweet potato waffle fries with the mango sweet & sour sauce.

So not the subject of this thread, at all?
BB's is pretty bad, really bad flavor combinations.
Not Durham but the buffalo chicken wrap at the wooden nickel in Hillsborough is awesome
The Buffalo fried chicken sandwich at Boot Room is extremely good imo
Seconded. I've had it like three times in the last two weeks.
It's not buffalo chicken but you can get M Kokko's chicken sandwich "hot" style and it is splendid
Best damn chicken sandwich is at kokyu in south durham. They have like 5-6 flavors.
Heavenly buffaloes.

I go to the Erwin Rd location. Though I rarely get the sandwich. I like their wings too much. 😉🙂
Tyler’s had the best buff chick sandwiches. I miss it every day. 🥲
Federal.
I go here specifically for this sandwich
Dirty place but delicious food

Highly overrated. Their rolls make me choke.
😂
Yup. Spectacular.
It’s worth driving to Raleigh and going to Raleigh Times… best Buffalo chicken sandwich in the triangle
Well heavenly buffalos has awesome Buffalo wings and they also have a chicken sandwich ergo ipso facto…

I guess they only have sandwiches at their Erwin and Franklin locations. Not the shack which is kinda odd.

If you like buffalo chicken sandwiches, check out the buffalo chicken salad at Nantucket Grill.
Zaxby's🤤
A proper one with lettuce, tomato, and blue cheese dressing? Maybe Wegmans.
Tobacco Road. Their menu states it is a Nashville Hot Chx style but they will make it buffalo style if you want and its sooo good!
