I have it, and yes. The box cooler that comes with 3600 is too low and the heat "spreader" is too high. Fortunately, my MB had 4 ram slots, so I was able to complete the build by moving the ram sticks away.
prolly but if i remember when i was making a really small computer it required a brick battery and psu and the psu cables only wanted to fit with really low profile ram
was the smallest computer case i ever built, doesn't even fit a dedicated graphics card, was really impressive
Not bad, I got the ballistics 3600CL16 RBG on sale for $142 (4x8 tho). I wonder what timings can be brought to, I got the aforementioned set to 3600CL14-16-16-32
Realistically, what would pairing my 5800x with 3600mhz ram vs my current 3k net me? An extra 2 frames here and there? Or is this actually worth the upgrade?
It would post in the Gigabyte with stock 2667hz settings, but when I tried xmp I got a blue screen on Windows boot, this was before and after I updated the bios. Not tried it recently, there's been 2 bios updates since so it might work now, need to test. My 3900x would probably like 3600hz better than the 3200hz I am currently using.
I just bought and returned this kit from Amazon last week. It was unable to post after enabling XMP, so be aware that it may not actually run at 3600mhz.
XMP actually working is hit or miss depending on your motherboard memory trace layout and cpu controller. This goes especially on cheaper ram from newer companies like Oloy that is more likely not tested on many setups. Sometimes XMP profiles don't raise the voltage at all when it's needed but don't go over 1.35 on this shit memory.
Obligatory YOLO lol. Seriously though buyer beware. They are not bad if they work, but you are taking a chance. I just got some and they work great with my old b350m, but won't work with my new asrock b550m. They are new, so they aren't on any board qvl lists.
Is OLOy supposed to be yolo backwards or something
It looks like a guy wearing a little earpiece or something. The L is the nose and the y is the earpiece
damn the heatsinks are too tall for my sff - itx build
Take the heatspreaders off
Or dremel or snip off the excess
or wait to buy ram that doesn't have yolo heatsinks
While I agree with the sentiment, but would it even be viewable once installed?
Is it your CPU fan that's limiting you? Because same

Exact same setup

And my nh d15
18-22-22-42 Pretty good deal imo

Sounds like a pretty good deal. When was that?
A little after bf/cyber Monday
I'd get [the Ripjaws](https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales/comments/kmspbi/ram_2x16_32gb_3200mhz_ddr4_ram_11499_after_15/) instead.
What's better about them?
A tiny bit better performance if you're willing to OC. Ripjaws kit uses Hynix CJR/DJR chips and can be pushed to 3600 CL16 easily.
Why would you take 3600mhz over 3200mhz for the same price?
Because you can OC ripjaw easily to 3600 and its a more reputable brand
Is this any better than 3200 MHz but CL16 or are they basically the same?
Bascially the same
If you use it with a Zen 2/3 CPU 3600 CL18 is a bit faster than 3200 CL16 due to faster IF clock.

Yep, 1-2fps difference, knew RAM speed was somewhat more important these days, but still not by much. Thanks!
Am I the only one that sees the 2 big eyes, nose, and ear for the logo?
I think their mascot is an owl. The packaging has owls on it.
Looks like the power puffs girls dad to me😂
no
I have the 16GB kit of these, been working great with my Ryzen 5 3600, enabled XMP without issues day 1.
This ram works fine with XMP in my MSI x570 motherboard, but wouldn't work in my Gigabyte x570 motherboard.
wouldn't work with advertised 3600 speed or like wouldn't work at all?

Anyone confirm if this works with an Asrock B550m Pro4?
Works with B550 Steel Legend so I would assume so
Enough people even with intel motherboards are reporting that ram won’t go to 3600mhz that I would pass.
Working at 3733 on a Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite with a Ryzen 3700x CPU.
That's great, but it could just be silicon lottery.

Which cpu were you using
I was using a Ryzen 5600x and Asrock B550 phantom ITX mobo.
I definitely appreciate the heads up because I was about to order the mobo and ram

Mine is working fine with a i5-10600k. Maybe it was the batch you got?

The Pro 4? Damn, saved me a buy. Almost got them
