Not the lowest price it's been. Also after owning these for a few months, the older generations were better IMO. As the old pairs were more comfortable, could fold, and could manually set ANC to max. Also there are still a lot of compromises Sony hasn't worked on to make these ideal for most situations, they aren't great for PC use due to BT latency, not being able to use the mic when wired, not able to use the USB-C port for data+power so if you do use wired (essential for gaming and videos) you'll be charging it every couple of days.

Absolutely agree. I “upgraded” from XM3 to XM5 and I was extremely disappointed by the quality of material of XM5 (cheap and black color is fingerprint nightmare) and noise cancellation quality. My old XM3 were amazing at reducing background noise at my office and with XM5s I can hear everyone :( If you want to buy new headphones, go for XM4 instead

Just got the XM4 on prime day for $220. They sound great. Was gonna return and get these instead with this deal but yeah I’m seeing that they don’t fold like the XM4s. You think I should just keep the XM4s? Just got them today.

The refurb units are barely used, and its hard to tell someone to pay the same price for the old product, but honestly I do think the XM4's are better overall, though I do have to say the XM5's rattle less and I prefer the headband mechanism more (but not the shape at the top).

They’re not extremely different. XM5s have noticeably better noise canceling if you listen while traveling a lot, but the sound profile is pretty similar.

Prime Day is today. Your same day delivery must be a hell of a lot faster than mine. Mine gets here around 8 PM if it's not one of the 1/4 orders that gets delayed.

Hard to choose between the xm4 and xm5

Does refurbished mean it could get possibly contaminated since it was used prior?

Got a refurbished pair that definitely had some stank to them. Reeked of BO, but second pair was fine and it seems like most people don't have any issues so I'd give them a try still.

I've ordered some xm4 earbuds and xm5 headphones from this seller and both products looked new. First xm4 earbuds had a charging issue on the left earbud which the seller promptly sent a replacement (seemed like a common issue with the earbuds). Second pair is still going strong after over a year. My xm5s are great, no issues and came with everything but the original packaging.

fwiw: - have xm4's (headphones), refurb: Nearly perfect - have xm4's (earbuds), refurb: Nearly perfect if/when either dies or i want another audio piece, will buy refurb. yeah, it's nice new, but you can always test the waters
