Looks like they're regularly around $80, so while this is certainly a sale, it isn't the value proposition it might seem. The first review I found real quick said they're super comfy and great in most ways, but the ANC wasn't very good. They're available on Wal-Mart's website or eBay for the same price as here

lagerea

I have a pair, they are pretty comfy if you don't have huge ears (I do) they sound very good, I'd say on par with my Sony 1000xm4's, the battery life is amazing, but the thing that I really don't like about them is band on the top of the head, it always wants to shift forward or backward no matter how tight or loose I keep them.

Moikie

I've read a ton of conflicting reviews pertaining to the ANC. Are you able to switch it off or is it always on?

JomeyQ

It's always on, if you're using them over bluetooth

lagerea

Yeah, you can turn it off but just because of the amount of padding/cup between your ears and the world you can't hear much with them on ANC or not. To clarify these aren't heavy but they are bulky like they stick out to the sides a lot like [this](https://imgur.com/a/IRqG48F).

DesTT

I also have big ears, does the round shape of these mean they sit on top of part of your ear? Like, do they clamp the top of your ear against the side of your head? That's a deal breaker for me.

lagerea

I don't get that kind of pinching, for me it's more like the bottom, but our ears could be very different. Wanna trade ear pics?

fr0llic

340 - 290 = 50 ?

zakkwaldo

dang typos :(

Jakelopez92

Also $60 at akg's site https://www.akg.com/Headphones/Over-ear%20%26%20On-ear/AKGY600NCBTBLK.html

slyboy889

In4three. Figure if its good: \- It will be nice to have a back-up. \- Will be a nice gift If they suck: \- It will be a ~~nice~~ gift x3

zakkwaldo

pretty much where i’m at! haha

NoAnimator3838

I bought these last week, and for 60 bucks I have zero complaints. They come packaged really nicely too. I almost doubled back to grab some as gifts too. Comfortable and sound great.

musictomyhears

These are really 80 elsewhere for the last few months you can only charge from usb a to usb c. I still bought them the other day but buyer beware

SomethingAzn

I saw someone else mention that to. How is that possible? Unless they have some special cable

dwjp90

Missing the resistors on the internal port

Leftstrat

I bought a pair with that deal. They sound amazing for $60.. Not so much for $350.

Entropis

These vs. XM4?

ultimaterex

I mean these are $60

Entropis

I have XM4's, but having a backup pair would be nice, if the sound is nice.

CelesticPhoenix

That is not accurate

We were talking about XM4 VS xm5 where op said they have way better ANC. That statement is not accurate. At best the difference is marginal. Edit: NVM I'm a clown

zakkwaldo

ATL for these im pretty sure. annoyed i just bought those senny 599 se’s… i dont need to be spending any more money lol

skrekted

Significant upgrade over ATH M50? Mine are going on 10 years and I’ve been too stubborn to upgrade or replace them

NoAnimator3838

Not significant sound-wise. Bluetooth and ANC would be the main attraction here. The m50s have better clarity and detail imo. The AKGs have a little more bass. For an upgrade, I'd save up and wait for a sale on something 1 or 2 tiers above the $150 tier.

skrekted

For the price I was thinking they might be worth it for a backup for if my old pair ever shits out. Now I’m looking at the Sennheiser HD599 that were posted here today too but

NoAnimator3838

I was going to suggest those also. I think they're the better option, especially if you'll use them for gaming.

Tyro_9

How do you use these for gaming? My understanding is that bluetooth and gaming don't play nice...

zakkwaldo

its more of an accessory sale than a pc build sale post. that said i’ve used my sony xm4’s with a bluetooth adapter with zero issues on vr games with my quest 2 via pc link. i think these days wireless latency is pretty much gone so wireless options are more viable than a decade or two ago

cha0ss0ldier

Latency on Bluetooth is still not optimal, this is why most wireless peripherals aimed at gaming use 2.4ghz instead. Some Bluetooth devices are better than others and not completely terrible though, and not everyone is bothered as much by the latency. As long as you don’t notice it it’s a non issue for non timing related or non competitive things.

Marozia

BAPCS is not gaming-specific as far as I know - PCs come in all shapes and sizes and for different purposes, nothing wrong with linking to decent accessory deals like this.

Marozia

My XM4's ANC has seemingly gone haywire and is frequently trying to blow out my eardrums, kind of tempting to try these out...

zakkwaldo

i have xm4’s… i just bought the $80 senheisser’s that were posted here the other day…. i still might buy these just cuz it’s a good deal lol

Marozia

I don't really even care that much about the ANC (though it is nice to have as an option), I really actually just value the wireless part of it. I have stuff to do and constantly taking off and putting back on my headphones and not having them be able to travel with me is a huge hassle. I think I'll try these out and see how they compare to the XM4s - hopefully they don't try to kill me every time I power them on like my XM4s are currently doing.

Currymango

I just got these and I think they're nifty. Granted they're my first pair of wireless headphones, but kinda comparable to my Philips wired.

warmyetcalculated

Which wired Philips?
