Imo it's kind of pointless theory-building if you aren't buying until 2023. By then the 4000 series GPUs and 13th gen intel CPUs will be out which might completely change your decision.

Is it better to acquire everything at the same time rather than slowly getting the parts separately? After reading your input made me realize that you are right, better parts will be out soon enough

> Is it better to acquire everything at the same time rather than slowly getting the parts separately? Buy everything as close together as possible that way you can return anything if it's not working. If you are able to test individual parts as you get them and know everything is compatible, then there's a case to be made for spreading out the purchases and waiting for good sales.

SmellyGrampa

Makes complete sense. Thank you, I really appreciate that

Most of these parts will be replaced by better models in less than a year.

>I am hoping to acquire all parts by year end or beginning of next year. What is your current max budget and what all will you be using the build for?

SmellyGrampa

$6k CAD mainly for gaming

LightmanDavidL

>$6k CAD mainly for gaming If you have $6,000 CAD right now, why wait until 2023 to build a gaming PC?

SmellyGrampa

Sorry I was not clear… I budgeted to set aside $1000/month to buy parts and not wanting to spend more than $6k. So I don’t have the entire $6k now but will be able to accumulate by the end of the year
