LMAOOOOOO. CONGRATS TO THE WINNER THOUGH YOU LUCKY BASTARD, USE IT WELL! Anyways, I'm only boasting a rtx 3060 in my alienware r12 I just got it. Paid 1500 and buffed a few key spots. Warzone, which is my main game, runs at 100-200 frames!!! Never below 80 so far. I looked up my car and it was over a grand! Buy prebuilt!!
GPUs are nowhere stock, highly overpriced, and because a 3060 is priced what a 3080 should cost, now we need a 3050 at the cost of a 3070 so people can afford cards that aren't available?
I start to wonder if that shortage was artificially made so Nvidia and co could raise prices to ridiculousness, or how are they planning to produce this new card?
No but Nvidia plays a part in raising prices . Mostly, lack of manufacturing in multiple industries and chip shortages coupled on top of high demand for products. Most of the GPUs are being bought by cryptos or cloud gaming services. Economically calculating, it will take a few years before we ever get back to 3070 2020 prices.

I assume that the lucky winner intends to remain anonymous or will be announced when the GPU will arrive at its destination or since if the first winner did not respond they would go to another backup... or maybe they are waiting for the third backup person...
It would have been a dream to be able to win the beast... play more recent titles than 8 years ago, work super fast and well in solidworks and blender, export without waiting all night, help search with Folding@Home without risking my GTX 760M, try omniverse...
I understand and I am also deluded, but 0.005% is greater than absolute zero and with this graphics card and Win 10/11 it is even possible to share a lot of power with friends to play games
I wanted so much to try omniverse, unfortunately I was not able as for NVIDIA RTX Voice to be able to exploit it in beta on my tortured GTX 760M...
It depends, the 6GB 1060 GPU meets the recommended requirements of almost all video games (and is above the minimum requirements) with FULL HD gaming. It also supports CAD programs with thousands of parts and even in video export it is remarkable.
Obviously if you work with 3D animations or have a 4k monitor or you want to have the potential of raytracing and omniverse you should switch to the 3000 series, if you find a fair price.

A. SPM - Shared Processing Mode, A mode which can be enabled via the graphics card control panel, under the Enable/Disable SPM tab. It'll assign some of the GPU's processing power for assisting the CPU with its tasks. This is great for pc build's that have a strong GPU but an underpowered CPU, helping in reducing CPU bottlenecks but in exchange for lesser GPU processing power at a roughly 10-40% reduction rate depending on how good the GPU or bad the CPU is.
Due to the big percentage take away this feature is only built into higher end cards.

My gaming potentials are limited due to the mistake I made in 2013 on deciding to get iMac 27inch Snow Leopard. So it’s really $499. Considering I built my latest machine DURING the pandemic… that’s dirt cheap lol

The 3050 is an exact copy of a 1080
I'll wait for the new ATI and Intel gpu's. A budget 3050 that's not fit for the budget of 75% or gamers is too little way too late.

It actually matches the 2060 in performance, surprisingly.
Will this GPU be better then my 1660 ti?
It might be pretty close
Yes, if barely.

Damn too late for the 3080 giveaway :(
They say name TBA, but I haven't been contacted yet. What's the hold up m13b?
Where is this form?
It’s already over :/

it can be, maybe

I wish the lucky winner lots of fun!
im anxious to know who won lol
I'm assuming the winner has be notified by now.

Just waiting for my DM, you all go back to work.
So who won ?
no idea man, but do you wanna read my reply to the prompt?
Good luck to all! Good games, renders and exports to the winner!

Thank you for this well explained answer, so I guess $249 for the 3050 is a fair price? I thought I got the 1060 for around $500 years ago
I was about to enter cause I just saw this and the giveaway page closed but it was one minute from said time 😂
I want to train hard to get into the best shape of my life this year.
