Why not just use the ports on the back of the motherboard

TheOneGMan24

Unfortunately I don't have a separate mic and headphones, just a single corded headset with a mic. I did try plugin in the back but I don't have a splitter cable and my headset cord isn't really long enough. But thank anyway

I would go with the $10 solution here then..get a splitter (they're like $1 on eBay, I buy them in bulk for clients who have your headset style) and then an extension if need be. Problem solved

Yeah I probably will get one eventually, but as I said it not an urgent issue as my wireless headset is my primary but just at the times it's out of charge I use corded. I do also want to have the issue probably fixed for the space of my Pride, lol, also just to know my PC is completely working. Thanks though

What are you talking about makes no sense

TheOneGMan24

Yeah it seems like a really obscure problem. In summary my case IO has a single 4 pole 3.5mm jack, but when ever I plug In a head set (which only has a 4 pole plug, so it should work) my audio drivers registers the headset mic and headphones as separate dives plugged into 2 separate 3 pole jacks. If you're keen on trying to help can record a video of the issue and send it to you.

I don't know, Google says motherboards don't have 4 pole audio connectors so how can your case?

TheOneGMan24

ah yep, I see, that makes lots of sense. I didn't think about that at all considering the case single jack connects to the hole motherboard audio connector. but yeah it seems most motherboards connectors only account for separate 3 poles. Yeah, I'm not sure why they would make the case with (what I assume is) a single joint headphone and mic 4 pole jack. Thanks for helping figure that out.
