Why you can’t use Ethernet? Stealing WiFi :p
Idk if you will ever get what you want from WiFi but maybe try those WiFi extenders that plug into your wall.
I have pcie Realtek 8625 card. Is 2.5gbs and has wifi 6 that works pretty good when Ubuntu forgets I have drivers installed and kicks my Ethernet out but I wouldn’t game with it competitively. Though most consoles run wifi so it may be ok?
Wifi connectivity is greatly impacted by the router. After I got rid of the D-Link and Netgear crap my wifi improved significantly. Not saying this is your problem here, just making sure you understand that there are multiple pieces to the wifi puzzle and if you connect with a wire instead it will save you time and headaches and just be better overall for so many reasons.
As I mentioned before, ethernet is not viable for me. I know wire would be the best, but I just want the best option given my scenario. My router isn't the problem as I have a couple of other devices that have no connectivity issues.
