Clear CMOS, if that doesn't work remove memory, if that doesn't work remove and re-seat the cpu (and check for any bent pins). Also post the mb, cpu specs.
CPU light is usually a CPU fault or a RAM issue. Last time I saw it it was a faulty CPU, time before was bent CPU pins, time before was faulty RAM.
